Finding this one hard to call. It is trending down short term but has bounced off 433-435 several times now. So clearly a wedge forming. Question is, if so, which way will it break. Down means I would probably get the 430 I pencilled in. However, longer term trend up suggests breakup and if so, will we have another backtest? Any ideas anyone?!

If the West decides to strike against some part of Syria , the US is going to be looking again at its defence budget cuts perhaps.
Not much sign of an effect on BAE share price so far. Perhaps because it is perceived as a small venture. Let us hope it stays that way.

When the EPS targets for directors bonuses are met (giving them 'Annual incentive', 'PerformanceSharePlan', RestrictedSharePlan and 'ShareMatchingPlan' payments). The baseline EPS is 38.8p.

Will be interesting to see the point at which the buy backs are scaled back ... ie. at what price the co sees more value in investing internally/externally

Well , I was right about the cricket anyway.
These do seem to be picking up again , perhaps after some profit taking. Still hopeful of a fiver in the not too distant future. The buy-backs are getting more expensive anyway!

I think that is an impressive loss. I feel quite proud of myself when I manage to hide one document from the wife. But 32,000?
It is probably OK though ; they probably left them in a BAE office.

I didn't place any stop losses ; I still think these have further to go in the short term. Like the English cricket team.

BAE Systems said the Gulf state of Bahrain was in talks about the possibility of buying an unspecified number of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets.

"Bahrain has expressed an interest in Typhoon and the British government are leading very early discussions; BAE Systems is supporting the government in these discussions," a BAE Systems spokeswoman said.

The Eurofighter consortium is also vying for orders in South Korea, Kuwait, Qatar, Bulgaria and Denmark.

Earlier on Wednesday Bahrain's national news agency reported that Bahrain's King Hamad al-Khalifa, who is currently in the UK, had told British Prime Minister David Cameron that the Gulf state was interested in buying Eurofighter jets to "create a cohesive defence system between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)" nations. The GCC is made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

TA too compelling and out at 450.7, too early it seems and missed the 457 test. So, we have support tests of 440 at the 20EMA then 420 at the 50EMA and then 400ish at the trend support. Watch and wait.

Outlook
Group
In aggregate, including both the benefit from the share repurchase programme and downside arising from reductions to US defence budgets, double-digit growth in underlying earnings4 per share is anticipated for 2013. This outlook assumes the satisfactory conclusion to Salam pricing negotiations this year.

Notwithstanding cash inflows from an anticipated Salam price escalation settlement, significant cash utilisation is expected in 2013. This includes an expected high level of utilisation against the advances, received in 2012, on the Saudi trainer aircraft and Omani Typhoon and Hawk contracts and advances consumed on the European Typhoon production contracts.
