01/8/2013 09:45 | MIATA , doesn't look like you will need your stops today. I am grimly holding for a fiver for my trading stock. | wad collector
01/8/2013 08:59 | £1.8bn Saudi order for future support ... significant not just for its value. | squidsgone
01/8/2013 08:09 | Interims out.... Outlook Group In aggregate, including both the benefit from the share repurchase programme and downside arising from reductions to US defence budgets, double-digit growth in underlying earnings4 per share is anticipated for 2013. This outlook assumes the satisfactory conclusion to Salam pricing negotiations this year. Notwithstanding cash inflows from an anticipated Salam price escalation settlement, significant cash utilisation is expected in 2013. This includes an expected high level of utilisation against the advances, received in 2012, on the Saudi trainer aircraft and Omani Typhoon and Hawk contracts and advances consumed on the European Typhoon production contracts. | fangorn2

30/7/2013 08:50 | But is it worse to let paper gains fall away ? All a gamble ultimately , but it is a solid pension fund share and a reasonable chance of seeing a fiver before too long. Indecision reigns for the moment! | wad collector
29/7/2013 19:15 | Wad. For what it's worth, I had a shufty at the technicals which are looking a little 'warm' but decided to stick for the moment with a market yield around 4.44%. Don't like tampering with divi stocks in case they just keep on going and I'm left high and dry looking too smart by half (unless it's dead cert). Made that mistake before so watching closely in case the market gets bored with it. F1 | fabius1
29/7/2013 16:27 | I am always less inclined to trade these high yielders , and seem to be gradually accumulating. Perhaps I should sell some . Are you jumping? | wad collector
29/7/2013 09:10 | "Sit on hands" or jump? Consider what has happened every time the RSI gets this high. | miata
29/7/2013 08:36 | It does look plausible that the 2008 highs will be challenged soon ; this is steadily rising again and still looks undervalued to me compared to the FTSE100 averages. Sit on hands time again. | wad collector
22/7/2013 11:51 | BAE Systems Plc produces the F-35's aft section including the assembly of horizontal and vertical tails for the aircraft. More than 500 UK companies are involved in the F-35 program, building 15 per cent of each aircraft produced. | miata
15/7/2013 18:16 | The clever analysts don't publish their recommendations , just tell their clients. | wad collector
09/7/2013 12:00 | Bscuit - "I have become very cynical about analysts recommendations" You and me and many others. I do subscribe to the IC but I am very careful on their tips and always do a lot of research before following them and most of the time I do not invest. I find their articles more interesting, especially Mr. Bearbull, but again I only very occassionaly invest in shares that he writes about. | losos
08/7/2013 18:39 | Pardon my frustration. I have held these for years. I bought in 1998 approx. when a "golden cross" was identified. I didn't sell in 2007, when it nearly achieved the cost price--£4.865. The income is ok and it is only a small percentage of the ISA. I have become very cynical about analysts .recommendations. I have held ICAP for about the same period and earlier this year IC @320 approx. said SELL, but it is up to over 400. Pays your monies and take your chances! | bscuit
04/7/2013 21:27 | Weaker £ on consolidation of US profits .... but underlying encouraging export opportunities to UAE, Qatar, Saudi .... Bahrain, Kuwait .... more Oman. Saudi more than probable? UAE clears the pitch tho? | squidsgone

04/6/2013 12:54 | MIATA - "fired 10 times and scored 10 direct hits on single and multiple maritime targets -- stationary and moving small boats" That's a pretty impressive hit rate, I am guessing this is against those pirates, anyway a nice 'feather in the cap' for BAE. Apologies for late reply as I don't often get time to look in here. | losos
