"EU Defense Bubble Under Pressure After Germany Freezes New Military Aid For Ukraine"
Frozen ie Stopped.
European defense stocks fell Monday morning following a report from the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) over the weekend. The new report revealed that Berlin had halted all new requests for military aid to Ukraine, citing a domestic budgetary crisis. |
HL "On the downside, defence firm BAE Systems slumped following reports that Germany plans to cut military aid to Ukraine. Rolls-Royce also lost ground"
Cutting by how much one wonders. So not stopping, as of yet it seems. |

BAE Systems has successfully shipped the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope’s Wide Field Instrument (WFI) to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, signaling the completion of integration and testing of the state-of-the-art instrument. The WFI is the primary scientific instrument for the Roman Space Telescope, NASA’s next flagship astrophysics mission. The instrument is an advanced visible-to-near-infrared imager with additional spectral capabilities that will capture highly detailed images over wide swaths of the sky, offering a field of view at least 100 times greater than its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope, with a similar resolution. This instrument will dramatically improve the speed and scale of astronomical surveys, unlocking new insights into the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, discovering distant galaxies and exoplanets, and studying how the structure of the universe has formed over billions of years. |
The vast new ship build hall that will transform shipbuilding in Glasgow has officially been named the Janet Harvey Hall, after one of the many women who took on industrial jobs when the country needed them most during the Second World War. |

Hard to pick faults. Div yield is now pants for newbies but it's fantastic for long termers (div up 70% in 13 years). EPS looks like high 60's come year end. Back to 14 squid a share sooner or later (assuming the powers that be still want to wage war)PE of around 20 but AAA company so not outrageous. |
Folk having trouble reading? Sales are UP. Order backlog is UP. As for the order intake .... look at the clear note underneath the order intake line.
Blimey. |
Outlook upgraded. Doubt that orders has an impact. But let's see... |
Orders lower than expected which doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but that may weigh on the share price today despite all the other positives |
Great results, inc guidance and 8% inc in divi, what not to like? |
