For an "in line" update,I'd expect little change in sp, but looks like the "no surprises" you mention Our Haven, is the market positive, being around 4% up, though still way down from where I would expect to be.

imo the differences are far too great to ignore. Maybe as the doom peaks, the posts just dry up out of boredom and disillusionment, although the converse of seeing increasing posts on the rise doesn't seem to be happening...

or perhaps many shares just go through similar cycles of posts

anyway haven't got anything better to do apart from looking at numberphile on youtube ;-)

Er, also last time someone said 'forget it' to me, I carried on, got a patent for an invention and made a reasonable amount of money from it. Red rag to bull etc.

Well here are some rather startling figures of posts per day - I have no idea what to make of them:

100 posts between June 18 and Mid-October 18 - about 3.4 months
100 posts between Mid Oct and Mid Nov 18 a month
100 posts between Mid Nov and end Nov 18 15 days
100 posts between end Nov 18 and Mid May 19 !! - about 5 months
100 posts between mid May and now - about 4 months.

The major share price fall ended around start December
Mid May was the spiked bottom.

Strong buying on takeover rumours, many uk Companies could be bid targets, a lot of overseas buying, snapping up cheap, under valued uk assets.
PHC,MSYS, ITX ready to start a big long term move too imho

I guess without monitoring the number of posts before and after in some sort of rigourous trial, its not exactly a firm conclusion !

Saga might be doing the same thing.

A few months ago it was a basket case, according to more than one persistent poster.

It's very good news. The reaction will come over the coming months. It isn't just these frigates it is ownership and experience on an export design. It also removes idle cost within the company. One would hope this is a significant stream of income going forward in addition to the eventual MOD contract.

£250m per ship * 5 = £1,250m. say 25% of their average t/o, or 4% p.a. as it's a 6 year program.
...but, I'm guessing they only get a slice of that sum, with other co's doing engines, fittings, armaments and so on.
Anyone know this business that can say what percentage is likely to come to winning contractor(BAB)?
