26/4/2023 13:41 | Don’t under estimate this leadership team. They have done everything they said they were going to do plus some. They over achieved on disposal proceeds, consistently hit forecasts and returned the business to dividends. If they says it’s £50-£100 then I think you can believe this lot have done their sums. | webbszobe
25/4/2023 17:18 | In my experience, the losses will mount. Could be a case of writing as much as possible off against the contract for tax reasons, but it will not be good for the share price.Nice close though, so perhaps the belief is that they will get a settlement. | our haven
25/4/2023 17:13 | The return to dividend signalled is the big picture here. They can do this dispute being aware they may have to to take a loss on Type 31 contract. The cash impact of such a loss would be split over the length of the build programme so while horrible it’s not a big deal. | webbszobe
25/4/2023 16:39 | Nice finish on the day | dope007
21/4/2023 15:28 | Compared to BAE and Qinetiq they certainly are in the current and ongoing environment | dope007
20/4/2023 15:29 | Not often am I correct, but this might be one of those rare occasions :) | lovewinshatelosses
20/4/2023 14:25 | LWHL..."Red morning, finishing slightly up perhaps"...sounds like a weather forecast from a seasoned farmer...who are invariably correct..and it looks like you will be as well :-)) | marvelman
20/4/2023 12:25 | So the clown show continues. | ptonks
20/4/2023 07:41 | Well, that is an RNS of two halves! Back on my watch list, but really not sure whether it made sense to mention a dividend at this stage. Successful resolution on that matter first would have been more sensible to my mind. Toss of a coin how the market will receive it, IMO. Red morning, finishing slightly up perhaps? GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
20/4/2023 07:11 | So now we know the reason for the delay. They have been trying to renegotiate the contract which is going to dispute resolution. They talk about paying a dividend in 2024, but I suspect that this will not happen if they are not successful in claiming 50 to 100 million in the extra costs. Soon see what the market thinks. | our haven
20/4/2023 07:08 | Delays usually mean bad news and so it proves! This share can only go one way today? When will bab start to deliver again - maybe never. Disappointed. Suet | suetballs
19/4/2023 09:21 | They are not delayed | dope007
19/4/2023 09:13 | Investors are worried by the results being delayed. | brain smiley
19/4/2023 08:51 | Very surprised by this downwards drift on no bad news as I'm expecting BAB to report a decent set of results any day now! Let's hope I am right. ;-) | drk1
11/4/2023 18:25 | Still no news on a results date.? | brain smiley
31/3/2023 16:51 | £1.50 by year-end! Cry me a river suckers. | ptonks
31/3/2023 13:56 | OK CliffordsChance I'll switch my glass from half empty to half full and wait patiently for the "good news". Suet | suetballs
31/3/2023 12:39 | Suet, might (just might) be good news (ok, eternal optimism and all that), or a take over approach or they're making an approach - I've seen Harland and Wolf mentioned in a few places, and that would give them the RFA build contract as well as potentially favourable tax setups in Northern Ireland that might come about due to the Brexit wrangling, and a "snip" at circa £25m market capitalisation. Might be sorting the last niggles out on the realisation of the sale of the aviation bits as that's dragged on for a long time which would bring a nice lump of cash and reduce risk. Or maybe they'll all jack it in as an April fool tomorrow ;-) | cliffordschance |
