I can't understand this silence from the bab directors.
Surely if there was anything materially untoward they would have a duty to tell us?
Why can't they simply issue an rns giving the reasons for the delay?
Could it be an approach?
I have faired very poorly with this investment over many years and imo this lack of communication is extremely disappointing.

I messaged the company ( investor relations ) about the trading update and they were sorry that they had been unable to update the market yet. It was for the Board to decide but it was now more likely to be a post-close update rather than a Q3.

Last year the update was out on the 25th Feb, it is very late.Not sure if this is good or bad news, bound to be one of them.Unlikely to be meeting expectations.

I couldn't agree more...financial year 2023 ends in a fortnight.

Very bullish two page spread and buy rec in today's Shares Magazine for BAB. Worth a read as now seriously undervalued in relation to competitors. Re-rating has to come soon!

Not sure about the drop at the end of the day -6%, as bad as the Financials/Banks ? Seems unjustified with no news. Other defence cos held up relatively well vs the market

Tend to agree on the updates, it really feels like whilst management might be sorting things out, this is a public company and their disrespect for shareholders is irritating

Where is our 3rd quarter update?
The company financial calendar has no future dates - sloppy imo.
Ok the Board have overcome significant issues but surely good and prompt communication is essential.

I am a recent buyer here in my ISA. bought because of the turnaround with a very well regarded management team in place. Ex Cobham aren't they?

With regards to the Macro picture surely these are the place to be - Defence. Qinetiq is also on my watch list to buy as it is trading below its normal historic PE range.

I think a lot are piling into BAE that looks expensive now and ignoring these two.

Just added a few more to my ISA as I do see these as a good long term buy at a cheap price
