It doesn't really matter as both costs of most manufacturing and sales are all in $ so any exchange rate "loss" is only on translation from $ to £ for the purpose of the report. As long as the cash is kept in US, no problem. From this year they are going to be reporting in $ anyway -

"CURRENCY EFFECT AND CHANGE OF REPORTING CURRENCY
The Group has translational exposure arising on the consolidation of overseas company results into Sterling. Based on the current mix of currency denominated profit, a one cent appreciation of the U.S. dollar increases revenue by approximately £0.9m and operating profit by approximately £0.2m.
Subsequent to the acquisition of Team Wendy, and following the completion of the divestment of
milkrite | InterPuls, the Group’s activities will be predominantly conducted in U.S. dollars, with approximately 90% of revenues and the majority of Group’s net cash and net assets denominated in U.S. dollars. As such, from 1 October 2020 the Group will change its reporting currency to U.S. dollars for our 2021 financial year. Following the change in reporting currency, dividends for the 2021 financial year and beyond will be set in U.S. dollars and converted into pounds sterling for payment at the prevailing exchange rate immediately prior to payment."

Think the share price managed to go down under £30 support, we are going to see the price going down further until May the result is out. - that's if it's good result.

Nothing specific to AVON. But the techs are hammered due to increase in US yield and general unease on the US markets - too high. Possible correction on the way.

Hi Volvo, just read the article you link to and while I think the stock at current levels is good value, I can't see where the author of your article gets her EPS number from. It looks way to high to me.

When the seller exits here could move up to 3500p quite easily. Plenty of support at 3000p.I don't hold but keeping a close eye on developments...

Probably - I usually do! Maybe used the Beddard update as a poor excuse - as I had no spare cash for ent.

Sold this am at a small loss.
I followed Beddard who "sold" recently.
Added the funds to my holding in ent which I believe will continue to do very well this year.
Good luck to remaining holders.

Miss Womble, Ive been using Barclays for about 10 years now having tried most of the others, I find them very good on limit orders and everything else.

As far as dealing when we want them to I think that can be a common thing to most brokers if they just can't get stock, that's why setting a limit order can be the next best option.

OK - but I don't use stop losses for that very reason.

Suet balls. They often can’t or won’t deal when you want them to and often deal above the instructed Loss limit when the price will is climbing
