THALES UK CONTRACT RENEWAL

Avon Technologies plc is pleased to confirm that Avon Protection has signed a multi-million-pound renewal contract with Thales UK in support of a critical UK defence programme.

Avon has supplied this capability to Thales for over 10 years. Under this new multi-year contract renewal valued at up to £10 million Avon Protection will continue to supply vital capability for the defence of the UK over the next 6 years.



Steve Elwell, President of Avon Protection, commented:

"This award is strategically important for Avon Protection. It demonstrates our contribution to the overall health and resilience of the UK defence industrial base. We look forward to continuing to provide the UK with a world-leading sovereign capability from our facility in Melksham, whilst continuing to work on new and innovative technologies that defend our nation."

Avon Technologies plc is pleased to confirm that Team Wendy Ceradyne has received a delivery order worth approximately $18 million from the Defense Logistics Agency. This order is under the U.S. Army's Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System (NG IHPS) helmet IDIQ framework contract, originally awarded in September 2021.

Indeed - and the promise of growth for some years from here. Even the exceptional adjustments don’t seem too unreasonable. Rather quickly it now looks undergeared - but the previous management didn’t have a great track record of acquisitions,so will be interested to learn more about what they will do with the cash.

Peel Hunt are pretty UK institutional centric and corporate advisory centric. Joint brokers are often appointed because they offer complementary skills/markets/clients. In this case there maybe a banking relationship with Barclays and/or management want to tap Barclays bigger representation into the US institutions. Or maybe they are working on something like an acquisition in the US

Article in today's DT about Russia's use of chemical gas in Ukraine. It concludes: "Britain is uniquely placed to solve this problem for the Ukraine military, as it did for the Peshmerga. The UK is the largest and best manufacturer of respirators on the planet, serving the full needs of the US DoD, the UK MoD and most Nato countries. This non-lethal aid should be much easier and quicker to sanction than some of the lethal targeting permissions President Zelensky is requesting so urgently. There is no time to waste."
