Looks good to me! Like this part, among others, from AB: Aviva’s large and growing customer base is a major advantage, contributing to our excellent performance. Over the last four years we have increased customer numbers by 1.2m to 19.6m. We now have five million UK customers with more than one policy and, as the UK’s leading diversified insurer, the potential to grow this further is huge. |
The appointment of Senator Thune of South Dakota (nearly 20 years service in the U.S.Senate)may help re-balance the potential threat from Elon Musk who wanted his man and Trump's from Texas, Rick Scott to lead the Senate. Some level of de-leveraging influence of Musk is possible and personally think that Trump will be contained in some of his approaches in policy when he assumes office in January 2025. I could be wrong but things may turn out to be less onerous to the UK's interests, and even beyond. |
He might love the UK but he won't love the current government imo. |
He loves the uk. Biden hated us |
Trump would not give anything away without something in return in any event. |
https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/trump-could-give-uk-special-exemption-from-tariffs/ |
Dope, must of missed what he said about the UK, please tell us. tia |
Mkt is in panic mode over tarifs and completely ignoring what Trump has said with regards to the uk |
We do need positive news as the local UK news always seems to be negative impact on business since beginning July. Then Trumps protectionism is creating more negative waves here but pumping US stocks to unbelievable levels. GLA |
I agree but what our CEO says in her statement tomorrow needs to be well tuned to help the market. Hopefully may give a lift to the likes of LGEN and a few others in the sector. She certainly has the deserved skills to influence the market which needs something to change the current dull mood running up to Christmas. So fingers crossed. |
The problem is the UK mkts in general and not the great companies on it that are significantly undervalued |
I listened again to our CEO's presentation in Mid-August and it was full of reassurance that the future prospects were strong and plenty of their product areas to grow. Obviously there are some difficulties ahead but she won me over to stay the course, and maybe add some more tomorrow if her outlook/guidance remains favourable and there is any short term weakness in the share price The latter is always possible but Reeve may provide some more positive dynamics in her Mansion House speech tomorrow evening. She really needs to up her game and win over the City grandees. I notice that the 10 year gilt trend is looking slightly more positive today, at least so far! |
Good or bad day trading review predictions? |

Until then
Have a good one everyone |
Direct Line taking a beating. Must be sorry they dint accept takeover from Belgiums |
Just had an Aviva email regarding annuities
Such is the strength of their offer they will even guarantee you a minimum pay-out of 1 year, yes, that's one year should you die when taking out their product.
Honestly, who writes such compelling marketing? |
Agree nerja, and like Direct Insurance shedding 550 jobs and looking to save £50 million it looks like others will be looking to achieve greater efficiency in their product services. Ms.Reeve' ideology is taking a hit and she is now looking for ideas to help growth for industry sectors. She should be looking at reducing the welfare state in a meaningful but measured and fair way and the public sector needs to be driven as a priority. Productivity is the driver for growth and I am sure that HMG is acutely aware of action needed. |
AVIVA
It’s been a good year for the Aviva AV. 0.77% share price. The stock hit a floor in 2020, but in the last few years it has made a strong recovery. The insurance giant’s shares are up 20.16% over the last 12 months.
As inflation falls and the Bank of England continues to cut rates, Aviva will look more attractive to income seekers once savings rates and bond yields start to fall. eyeQ’s smart machine shows the model is back in regime. Investors need to understand the big picture stuff moving the stock: lower volatility, higher growth and more risk averse investors. The stock currently sits 4.52% under eyeQ model value and the machine fired a bullish signal.
For bulls, this could be a steal and eyeQ is telling you that it is the right time to add this stock, but don’t forget to do your own research and keep on its trading update scheduled for Thursday before making a final decision.
