SI, I for one bought again averaging 473p today......the results were excellent.

Yes there was a planned seller unloading all day and yesterday.

Once cleared either things pick up or we are taken out.....too much of big player not to be given a fair nasdaq aka value, ie double.

They read well.....up 10pc y on y, which was pre pandemic, and growth at the higher end of estimates, fully expect these to trade above 500p short term.

Next Tuesday for the trading update which will reveal the prospects going forward....it should read positively and start a much needed rerate otherwise a buy out is on the cards....on support level of 470p its either up or down, suggest it might be up.

I closed my trade sometime ago, when, on collecting a new computer, was told by the person setting it up that they no longer recommended third party protection such as AVG and just used Defender on W10 set ups.

Not sure how this will affect the share price going forward.

Surprised there’s not more activity here . . .

Price has moved sideways for the past 6 months even though Avast featured at No.3 in the “Most popular FTSE 100 stocks at the start of 2021” based on % of analyst “BUY” ratings (86%)

And of course, Cyber security is a hot topic now with similar US stocks taking off recently.

Maybe London isn’t the place for Tech stocks to thrive or be fairly valued as per commentators’ observations e.g. “the market doesn’t understand and can’t value tech” Terry Smith.

Anyway, holding for the long-term . . .

TP, Good closing high to end the week on increasing volume.

The rising 21 taking on the rising 55.

This stock has also confirmed Victor Sperandeo's 1-2-3 Trend Change pattern.

Very simple on this one, I got in at 456p so looking for 20% gain, so 547p. I noted resistance at 560p so thought 20% looks possible. If it reaches I'll leave my profits in as I think this is a good company.

TP, thanks for the info on fibs. The smas do have a smoother look to the more traditional ones.

How did you reach your near term price target?

Longer term, an eod close above 560 gives a tp min approx 624
There are some higher pattern led target prices, but we would need to see how the chart shapes up to be more specific.

Naked Trader has updated for the first time in a while Yesterday (15th). Poor chap sounds like his hip op was a bit of an ordeal, wishing him a speedy and full recovery.

Always positive when he buys in and in the case of Avast he has:

I bought some Avast (AVST) the web security company.

It's in a growth area still and profits are going nicely. If forecasts
are right there is more to come. It doesn't look overly expensive.
