One of the few companies not on the slide today as the market pulls back. Bodes well.

I'll keep using this one at least until the charts are copied across onto the new one - but happy to go with the majority view.
At the moment just pleased to see the share price recovering, and hopefully finding some more legs to 350p...

Only if you go back searching for it. I'm not sure what the title has to do with it; surely most people go by ticker?

The history will still be there Jeffian. I had thought about starting a new thread at the turn of the year but had held back but with last weeks results and one or two posters suggesting it was time for a new thread I decided to start it today. Sorry if you feel I was wrong but I thought a new title was needed and as I say for anyone who wants to look back at the history it will still be there.

It's just that you lose all the 'history'. I'm not sure that there has yet been such a fundamental change to the AVN story that it's worth throwing away the 'old' thread yet, but the market will choose!

Updated title which is more fitting to where AVN is today Jeffian. I will add some more up to date links to the header over the next few days, if there are any experts in HDMI who can help perhaps a photo in the header as well.

I have just created a new thread and I will add more information in the header over the next few days.

Any reports, news paper articles that are worth having a link in the header I will add if you let me know.

I felt having growing revenue in the title was now appropriate.

I reread the RNS 'Placing of £75m to fund proposed HYLAS 3 satellite' dated 06/02/12 following the issue of the Interim Results on 12/02/13. Two important statements which I'd not recognised the benefits are:-

1) "HYLAS 3 will have up to 4GHz of Ka band capacity. This will be configured across eight beams within a single steerable antenna that can provide coverage of an area equivalent to a region the size of Southern Africa and can be moved throughout the life of the satellite."

Bear in mind this was stated on 06/02/12, well before the launch of Hylas 2. Note the expected advantages stated of this approach. Now compare this to the Interim Results, a whole year later, when the Chairman stated:-

"We have now located the HYLAS 2 steerable beam over Libya and within two months of doing so, sold more than half of its capacity. This will make a significant impact on second half revenues."

So, I think Hylas 3 capacity could sell very quickly and at very good prices.

2) "Given the overlapping geographic coverage of HYLAS 2 and HYLAS 3, there would be no additional operating expenditure relating to its HYLAS 3 hosted payload."

I did not appreciate that there will be no additional operating costs of Hylas 3.

So, although it's a few years off, when operational, Hylas 3 could boost revenue rapidly and substantially with no additional operating costs. This would obviously result in greatly increasing profits.
