I understood that there was an announcement to say that Avanti got around the problem by parking Hylas 1 in the slot for a short while, and as a result that we are staying put in the geostationary slot, and that Luxembourg can go and whistle?

Have I jumped the gun and got that wrong?

I think the share price is still being held back by the unresolved objection raised by Luxembourg and the fact that Hylas 2 is not yet revenue earning. Up to date information on revenue/profitability from Hylas 1 would also help.

IMHO without good news on a combination of the above, the share price will probably continue to languish.

Am invested here as an LTH and would like to get into profit sometime.

We're pulling troops out of Afghanistan. That doesn't mean necessarily that there will be no requirement for drones.

Here's an article from today's Telegraph about drones and their pilots.



There is a single line in there about a new RAF Reaper control centre in the UK, which will, I believe, use HYLAS II to control drones over Afghanistan.

It's certainly the case that once the satellite's in orbit it's very hard to spend any money on it (bar insurance) so income should equal profit

Edit: not literally equal of course!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Ive been here for years now and im finally confident that one way or another the next year, IMO we are going to be considerably higher than we are now. We are not far away now from making a profit for the first time in Avanti history and once this is achieved all future contracts will hit the bottom line nicely. I can wait it out!

Volvo just a swap between MMs, no one bought/sold, would look great on the charts if we got a tick up from here though :)

Actual traded at 12.51 is really 32, 235. More brewing in my belly than AVN's volume
