19/9/2012 17:01 | Apologies YORGI but restassured felt it necessary to come and have a 'pop' at me over on IOF after all this time ??????. So just back to post for Rests pleasure Rest I said get in IOF at 18p to felloow investors it's now 66p. I said get out of AVN at 750p you gave me a load of greif. i called 350 at 250. here's the graph, the black arrow is where I told you to get out. unfortunately the graph would need to be 3 times the height for me to indicaste where you said it was going. Grow up and stop calling everyone else a crook. Once again apologies to other AVN posters just for restassured. perhaps he's trying to prompt my sound advice and posting again. | ![]() superg1
19/9/2012 10:09 | Not sure it's much of an explanation actually, but a trader friend tells me that brokers and iis deal directly with LSE and have tiered charges. AVN looking poorly with lower highs and lower lows becoming apparent. | johncsimpson
18/9/2012 19:52 | Thanks for the explanation. Grouch | ![]() lavagrouch
18/9/2012 08:11 | A disappointing day yesterday but we did not fall again so we are still heading north as I thought we would all the logic of the business and the fundamentals point to this we just need the market to take it up now. | ![]() yorgi
18/9/2012 08:05 | lavagrouch1 7 Sep'12 - 21:07 - 382 of 382 With reference to the little trades. . . No idea. It's been explained before as 'funds' balancing their books in terms of specific monies invested or specific numbers of shares in a portfolio or a specific percentage of one share re another. Also as brokers taking their commission / fees in shares and not 'cash' which possibly has more legs, so long as they are not paying their own charges, if you see what I mean. I don't know; seems a bit bizarre but they screwed up my day indicators yesterday. Added: Sorry Johhnyno your reply wasn't on my screen when I did the above. | johncsimpson
18/9/2012 06:16 | others say it is portfolio managers re balancing client portfolios...probabl | ![]() jonnyno1
18/9/2012 06:14 | some say it is a coded message! what that message is .... who knows! | ![]() jonnyno1
17/9/2012 21:07 | With reference to the little trades, what on earth is that all about? What is the possible benefit of trading one or two shares whereby trading costs will far exceed the proceeds of the sale?? Grouch | ![]() lavagrouch
17/9/2012 14:02 | Its very slow but steady we turned around early last Rathlindri and hopefully the uptrend will continue. | ![]() yorgi
17/9/2012 14:00 | It's quiet here today and maybe, just maybe we might actually hold on to the gains today?? A finish above 375 would be acceptable... | ![]() rathlindri
17/9/2012 13:44 | Just noticed there are dozens of little trades. Must say I don't understand but they're 'confusing' my day indicators and explains why they've been so erratic today and are possibly giving off false signals. | johncsimpson
17/9/2012 13:09 | Picking up. 380+ today is possible . . . | johncsimpson
17/9/2012 10:49 | Found it - circa £9m loss 'expected' and a small profit to June 2013. | johncsimpson
17/9/2012 10:09 | My preference is to consolidate around this level until the next report, which presumably will be first week of October with the preliminary announcement of year end result. More important than the income, which has been signalled already, is the progress on backlog since July and (I hope) a prognosis for the interim period to 31 Dec 2012. If these are in line or ahead then I would expect quite a stiff leg up as there will be some pent up demand brewing in the meantime. People can play that how they choose, if indeed they share my opinion. And yes, my hot money has been heading to gold and oil. | ![]() hpcg
17/9/2012 09:41 | Makes sense Colva......as short term we could go anyway as we well know here but long term value and future potential will come through. Hot money at the moment is with gold and oil I would say. | ![]() yorgi
17/9/2012 09:40 | 2011 Preliminary earnings due to be released Oct 1st, with a great TA set-up as well I would expect to see a nice run up to these results | k0108356
17/9/2012 09:38 | Am I right in thinking Avanti will post a loss when it releases results to June 2012 later this year? | johncsimpson
17/9/2012 09:37 | Backmarker , i may be right but i could just as easily be wrong , the idea behind the trading is to try and profit from the short term price moves without adding to my long term holding , having missed the chance to sell at 370p last week i was happy to take 372p this morning. | colva
17/9/2012 09:37 | Agreed John, very much like a tanker but it's turning :) | k0108356

17/9/2012 08:53 | colva, you may be right, but I think the current push through 370-375 will take us further. I'm looking for 450 from this wave | ![]() backmarker
17/9/2012 08:35 | Just sold my trading shares at 372.73p | colva |
