27/6/2012 11:13 | Dolores123 27 Jun'12 - 08:55 - 9260 of 9268 RHPS has maintained its recommendation to buy up to £7.50 throughout and with the second much bigger satelite launched Avanti suddenly becomes a much more valuable company. Will RHPS then increase its buy up to price to say £10 per share?? --------------- whatever they said in this market it would not make a blind difference, the share price will be back under 3 quid within a few days and thats a fact! | divinausa1

27/6/2012 09:35 | Jeffries still BUY and £6 target: Avanti has announced an official launch date for HYLAS-2 this morning that is broadly in line with guidance. HYLAS-2 almost quadruples Avanti's capacity and unlocks key growth markets in Africa and the Middle East. With mid-teens % capacity pre-sold on HYLAS-2, today's announcement is a meaningful step forward in crystallising value. HYLAS-2 launch date confirmed. Avanti has announced that the launch of HYLAS-2 will take place from an Ariane launch vehicle at 9.50pm UK time on 2 August 2012. We are encouraged by this statement since it suggests that ground-testing of the satellite has been successfully completed and that shipping to the launch site has taken place without incident. Whilst timing fall fractionally outside the previously-guided window of 30 days from 30 June owing to scheduling issues at the launch site, the relevant issue for investors is that an important milestone in the launch process has been reached. HYLAS-2 opens up attractive emerging markets. HYLAS-2 will carry a payload of 24 fixed beams and one steerable beam, and will deliver 8.3 GHz of capacity, almost quadrupling Avanti's overall capacity. HYLAS 2 will substantially increase the company's international coverage, unlocking new and attractive growth markets in Eastern / Southern Africa and the Middle East. HYLAS-2 applications will include broadband access, enterprise data networks and mobile backhaul. Meaningful step forward in crystallising value. HYLAS-1 is currently operating at ~40% of capacity; HYLAS-2 is now at least "low teens %" pre-sold (excluding options). Management targets selling out HYLAS-1 by April 2014 and HYLAS-2 by September 2016. Recent contract win momentum provides confidence that these targets will be met. Our thesis is predicated on the principle that Avanti's quality infrastructure is significantly undervalued. Our blended asset / DCF-based fair value of 600p signals significant potential upside (~100%): this morning's announcement is a meaningful step forward in crystallising that value. | billytkid2
27/6/2012 09:26 | MIND THE GAP !! useful rise this morning..... but there was a gap-up. while I'm not a complete believer in "gap theory" (or whatever you want to call it) it does seem remarkable that so many gaps get closed. that said, a quick pull-back to 310 then upwards would be classic: initial breakout from overhead resistance ~310 followed by retest of that level from above turning it into new support level. what I wouldn't want to see is a continuous rise up to launch followed by post-launch fatigue taking us back to 310 a few months down the line...... .... though that would be a nice trading opportunity. | backmarker
27/6/2012 09:25 | . . . and now the thirds gone neutral. | johncsimpson

27/6/2012 08:55 | RHPS has maintained its recommendation to buy up to £7.50 throughout and with the second much bigger satelite launched Avanti suddenly becomes a much more valuable company. Will RHPS then increase its buy up to price to say £10 per share?? The intention to go to a full listing in 2013 will no doubt give the share price a big boost as well. | dolores123
27/6/2012 08:43 | We are up as we expected, nothing dramatic I don't think any of us thought we were going to "rocket" (sorry) away in this market but at least for the moment we are moving away from that 300p area which we seem to have been stuck at for so long. I was hoping for a trading update for Hylas 1 as well as we would all like to know how well that is going I'm quite sure. | yorgi
