if you are doing a "daily" then these should follow the market pretty accurately. if you're doing a "quarterly" then these don't always change in step with the market.

Hi Backmarker,
I didn't do at all well on my SIPP purchases, average about 500p or so.
But fortunately my average with Shortspreads is around 280p so I hope that these can offset my SIPP somewhat.

I'm a bit locked in, in a way, as most some other spreadbetting companies wouldn't let me buy AVN.

I'm not moaning about the strange anomaly of the difference in price BTW.
I'm just confused as to why it should be.
I don't want to close these positions for a long while, or at least till say 500p ish.

yep, we're now climbing on the back of those persistent small buys with no significant selling. we still need higher volume but maybe that will come.

Really don't understand this,
my Shortspreads platform (the name of the spreadbetting company, not that I'm short!) still shows this as 349-355 despite ADVFN showing that it's gone up over 15p.

At least the RNS today should have underpinned the share price rise we have seen since the beginning of April so unless some bad news re the launch should only move one way from here.

volume still on the low side. I think we've run out of steam for now and we're going sideways for a while. the good bit is 350 seems to be holding for now.

I suspect that there is a large sell order being slowly placed behind the scenes!
Hope it gets worked through soon - on the reported trades there appears to have been more buying than selling!

of course Backlog isn't immediately revenue, and it's slightly opaque because we don't have the phasing, i.e. we don't know when the contracts start.

I've no idea how the revenue figure compares with forecasts. I'm going to be lazy and wait for the various commentaries and broker notes that will surely appear during the next day or two to tell me.

my concern with the last set of figures was that the increase in revenue was markedly offset by the increase in cost-of-sales. I'm hoping that most cost-of-sales is one-off (i.e. contract-related) rather than recurring, so the figures should be stabilising over time. we probably won't have any insight into that, though, until the full figures around October.

nevertheless, one way and another it appears we are still on-track and ahead of targets, so this should provide strong support for some rerating even ahead of the launch of H-2.
