this is enjoyable.

not as enjoyable as when I was waiting for Hylas-1 launch and was in profit, but enjoyable none the less, as I am now less than 50% down and confident I'll be 50% up ...... eventually ;~}

Estienne - Nice to see you're back here . . . Re my post below perhaps you could address my question. You seem to be way off the mark and I'm finding it hard to take you seriously. I don't mind reading informed comments or having an educated discussion but there's no substance to your posts. The 175p claim, for example, gives you little credibility and allies you with Mystic Meg.

Now that it has slipped below 250p I expect it to drop further and settle at 175p prior to the launch. After the launch we may see it rise to the 350p level where I would expect it to remain for a few years.


I can see no evidence for this assessment. Presumably you do so would you like to share it with me?

Missed all the excitement as was travelling for my first ever visit to China. Pleased with the result though, should visit China for often.
Also pleased that I bought into my SIPP at 246p and 249p a few weeks ago :-)

From RHPS:

It is good to see the share price of AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS (AVN) showing some signs of strength at long last. It has rallied strongly since mid-April and is now above the 285.5p at which Avanti placed new shares in February to finance the building of HYLAS 3.

I had a chat with Avanti's Sean Watherston at the recent Master Investor Show and although he could not tell me much that is not in the public domain, I got the impression that sales of the capacity of HYLAS 1 and HYLAS 2 are going according to plan, as is the preparation for the launch of HYLAS 2 which is scheduled for July. This time next year Avanti should have two satellites up and running and earning money, and we will then be able to get a clearer picture of their likely financial returns. Although Avanti does not have a penny share price it has high share price potential, in my view, which is why the shares are a Red Hot recommendation. BUY UP TO 750p (Today's close: 318.5p) - ends

Nothing new here but another positive to the price and the monthly RHPS publication is this evening though I suspect from the above there will not be a major update. But this time next month with Hylas 2 ever closer . . .

when you get directors buying shed loads at 6.50 and all the way down you know you cant be far off a good thing. i will sell when it gets back to 7.00+ we only dropped on general market sentiment and that's the ONLY Reason imo

My SIPP is looking better today. £10 would be nice in 12 months but I am hoping for more than that in a couple of years. Nearly back into profit with these, but worth the wait.

Those TA guys will also like the look of the charts with 26 crossing 50 (end of last month) and Bollinger Bands opening out in classic bullish style. Any experts out there care to comment on the technicals please?

Very early to get out! We have only just started the recovery ahead on the 2nd all important satellite launch. That will carry a lot of media attention and momentum will build very quickly. If they can add to this with some nice Contract wins the current price will look a bargin in a very short time IMO.
