For anyone who has not read the annual report cover to cover the total cost of AVN's directors for the year ending 30th June 2011.

Total cost of the 10 directors £1,827,650

Made up of Salaries, Bonuses and Benefits.

Yes I agree, but the point I making we have 10 directors on the board and WE pay them and not 1 could make the effort to attend the event !!!

Maybe everything is going well and to plan but the share price is giving the suggestion it may not be !

On the subject of T1ps and putting on pressure to fill the stands, in addition to the fee for the stand they charge extra for the little round table and two chairs that most have in the front of their stands.......more than enough to buy a small table and chairs :-)

Yorgi, don't disagree about needing better and more frequent communication from directors (ditto most AIM companies) but some others might have planned to be at the event while others 'decided' 48hrs before.

Just to mention two companies MIN had two directors in attendance I saw and other senior people, AFCR had three directors......

Yes I'm fully aware of the pressure TW applies to companies to sell their spaces I can assure.......very aware.

So do you think it is unreasonable of me to expect at least 1 director to make an appearance when there are 10 on the board.......who we pay quite generously ?

As I commented most companies, I'm not saying all manage to turn out at least one director. Bear in mind also how badly the share price has done in the last year a director or two being there to confirm and assure shareholders that all is well is not to much to ask in my opinion.

Yorgi, get some perspective. They were 'pushed' into taking a stand at the last moment by Tips as they had unsold stands. Taking it was a 'favour' to them for the write ups etc. I don't think this was a planned event that the directors either wanted to or had in their diary's.

I'm afraid not Colva......I should have thought about that but I didn't sadly :-) I would say pretty much every other stand I visited, I'm not saying all, had at least one director on the stand. Without asking some happily gave out their cards with the telephone and email contact on and openly invited contact if I wanted to know any more.

I won't deny I was disappointed with AVN that not one director could make the effort as I have already commented. I'm afraid it leads me to think they just are either not interested in PI's or have much respect for us.

Well, no Directors at MI and no news released , they should have signed the H3 deal with ESA by now .

From the placing RNS.

"Final contractual terms with ESA are expected to be agreed and contracts signed in March 2012."

Yorgi , the Avanti guy you spoke to at MI , did he by any chance give you his e-mail address , if he's happy to talk to PI perhaps he'd reply to e-mails.

Regarding amount Hylas 1 sold, I did say just under 50%, I thought the person I spoke to commented that 40 something % was sold and 50 something to be sold but Plasybryn who was also there or someone else can either confirm or correct me if I has wrongly reported.

I tried three times to speak to one of the two chaps at the stand. I was thwarted by both rudeness on the part of representatives and the punters talking to them. Really people....if you were one of the people who just let me stand there and didn't let me join the conversation then let me tell you that you need to learn some friggin' manners!

By the time I got to speak to them I was in a bad mood. When I found I was speaking to 'just' some PR person I figured I was wasting my time.

Yes, all very reassuring re sales (Hylas one is I believe 34% sold and not 50% as above but 30% is where they expected to be at this point) but if a Director can't be ars*d to come and speak to me then I'm not so sure I can be ars*d to hold the shares.

All said partly in jest but with a degree of seriousness.

Disappointing.

I cant see a time when the directors will be more supportive of us. Williams stupidly stated a share price of £22 on camera a year or so ago and probably knows we would give him a lot of stick for that. That said the shorting campaign coupled with a terrible year on aim stocks in general has done a lot of damage but this next year or two should prove to be pretty profitable with the following couple of years being incredibly profitable. I can wait it out but one thing is for sure, this year i will take some profit should i be fortunate to be back in that position.
There will soon be plenty of news flow around contracts RE Hylas 2 and launch plus the military so I can see a real upside here.

Thanks for that Plasbryn. It seems to me that the directors have still not got the message but it's a start.
