23/2/2012 23:15 | so we have a market cap of 225m, 75m just raised ...they have what 40m cash?... plus the business and the support at 2.80, sounds good. i bought at 3.70, may top up now! | jennis2002

23/2/2012 10:48 | I get the impression there's an awful lot of money waiting to pile in here. Once this overhang is cleared the move up will be very strong imo. | ![]() someuwin
23/2/2012 10:24 | Don't buy that bookbroker. The fundraising in December 09 at 400p, and the summer 2010 at 430p have built the company up, to what it is today. Ok its just raised £75m at 280p.........but that will be spent sending another satellite into space and selling its subsequent broadband. Nope get rid of this incessant seller, the price will settle, let the newsflow of Hylas2 and the publicity it will bring this summer, put some profits on the table with a promise of more........and bingo your off to the races. Got to be 600p by summer and the launch imo......and 2000p minimum by 2015 and 3 trading satelittes in orbit.dyor. | ![]() volvo
23/2/2012 09:33 | Sounds like a load of promising forecasts concerning demand, but until it hits the bottom line the jury is firmly out, looks cheap but significant fundraisings in the past have diluted the value of the co. to a significant degree, off course with the risks involved in creating and launching satellites debt is not an option so shareholders have to take the pain. | ![]() bookbroker
23/2/2012 09:19 | Hmmm I know the feeling Orado :-( | ![]() yorgi

22/2/2012 17:16 | Yes its a difficult one. The seller was there all day again, Cenkos were right. But why, surely they could get an arranged sale sorted. They (the company) just sold £75m at 280p for example.......that was over subbed again according to Cenkos!. No profit taking there at least tomorrow. .........I highlighted this before..........woul Got that feel that a cheeky 600p offer could do the job.........Williams becomes a multi milliaire and CEO of the new company.........stra | ![]() volvo
22/2/2012 10:25 | That last bit might be a bit hopeful (!) but I would imagine the share price will begin to improve in the run-up to launch of Hylas2 in July and this time it might be underpinned by the visibility of earnings coming through. (Well, that's my rationale for holding, anyway.) | ![]() jeffian
22/2/2012 10:19 | I noticed yesterday that the spread on AVN had closed up to only 0.25p. for an AIM stock that is pretty amazing in my book. it's equivalent to about 0.1%. with the EGM out of the way the raising of £75m at what is now a small premium to the share price looks spectacular, a great vote of confidence. it means we are fully funded for HYLAS-3. in turn that means no more cash-raising should be needed for some time. in fact we should soon be generating heaps of cash from HYLAS-1 and -2, as the latter is expected to be in service quicker than HYLAS-1 - and it has more capacity which is selling quicker !!! I wouldn't be surprised if old EK starts going long on AVN now. | ![]() backmarker

21/2/2012 18:15 | Always the modern phenomia spread bets and CFD's. You see the market players looking for stops all the time. This will come right for the patient. Just got to get by this piece of 'jiggery pokery'. Again the seller is playing all day on L2. But we had plenty of buyers too. Another 48 hrs imo. BTW THANKS JULCESTER. Someone wants us. | ![]() volvo
21/2/2012 17:33 | InSat uses Newtec's tech to deliver Ka-band services Tuesday 21 February 2012 | 02:15 CET Satellite communications technology company Newtec has signed a deal with satellite-based internet provider InSat to supply and install Sat3Play hub and terminal technology delivering Ka-band communications over Afghanistan. InSat plans to provide three distinct services for Afghan telecommunications providers based on Newtec's Sat3Play technology: IP trunking service for large companies and government agencies, VSAT services for small and medium companies, and broadband IP access services for consumers under its brand name Hi-stream. InSat will be implementing the Newtec technology on Avanti's Ka-Band satellite Hylas 2, which is on track for a June 2012 delivery date. Hylas 2 is a bi-directional Ka-band satellite with 24 spot beams across the Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa, and Europe. Serge Van Herck, Newtec CEO, said the Sat3Play Ka-band solution is supporting a broad range of applications ranging from consumer broadband to more professional applications. The proposed solution can be easily scaled and expanded to other regions covered by the spot beams on HYLAS 2. | ![]() julcester
21/2/2012 16:35 | Nearly where Volvo . . . I'm nearly broke! I closed out of my Spread Bets for quite a loss a while ago, then recently added . . . doh. I can't help but reckon that it's all my fault why the share price continually tumbles. If I close out tomorrow, watch this baby suddenly come back to life!! John | ![]() 2350220
