If you have been around this game as long as I have you will know the rise or fall in a share price is not always a refection of what is going on in the company or it's true value. This I believe is the case here in my opinion. The story remains that same and like Restassured I believe it will be lot higher later this year.

Eutels KA sat won't be fully operational/go online until May. For your info.

They have 70 odd contracts signed up to date. I don't know how they compares with Hylas1

For the record I'm still in have not sold any and not intending to.

I can wait for the RNS to say we are in service and some more contract wins and the share price heading north again.

To be fair though Smarm, the delay wasn't really Avanti's fault. They were at the mercy of Arianespace's launch schedule, and that was set back repeatedly from this Spring.

They were originally going to launch late in 2009 with this outfit:



However, from memory, Avanti were courting institutional investors in 2009, and one of the provisos for bringing some of these investors on board was the requirement for Avanti to switch to Arianespace for the launch, as they are perceived as being one of the best in the business. Had this been resisted, Hylas could potentially have been launched before the end of 2009. However, I'd trust David William's judgment over mine, and it would have been a severe setback if the Hylas 1 launch had failed.

I still think this year is going to be an interesting one, and am happy to remain a holder. I know you're primarily a trader who sticks to your rules and remember you advertising your exit recently. That's fair enough, but I personally can't be bothered jumping in and out of stocks I want to hold. You may yet get a good re-entry point below the current price, but personally, I don't have the time to continually monitor stocks I'm in. I'd soon get fired from my day job if I spent it staring at live charts and price feeds all day......

The only time I dump stocks is when the story changes for the worst (I was out of ANGM in a flash last Spring when they announced a default on a loan payment).

Good luck if you do decide to re-enter (I recall you mentioning 600p).

Inmarsat have 3 ka-band broadband sats on order at a cost of $1.2b ,the first one will be up and running in 2014 ,either Inmarsat are making a huge mistake or AVN have first mover advantage in a very big market. AVN will have at least 2 and probably 3 ka-band sats operational before Inmarsat launch their first.
