Thanks all for support and sorry for huff - very undignified. I still think that in the background there is some lucrative government type work for this (and maybe the next) satellite which will either not be announced or will be released under a muted contract RNS, but which will show in the income statements anyway. Maybe I have been reading too many novels but we will see....

I note the paid broker has upped the price above £10. That is the hylas 1 and 2 price. The reason for the hike is the life extension of hylas 1 estimated at 17 yrs now.

As if the hylas tech is going to be used in 15 years time let alone 17, just an opinion of coures but we know how fast technology moves.

just bought into Gullsands and Avocet on strong tips and analysis from Momentum Investor's latest news letter so no money left to buy more of these at the present bagain price

This BB has never been balanced in its content. The plethora of positive delusional posts ( c.f. fundamentals) on this BB led me to question their true identities and motives. Ultimately it persuaded me to take advantage of the clear milestones along the path to launch date and then sell out entirely immediate to post launch.

If I'm proved wrong then I'm quite content for others to make more 'cause
they've taken the risk. If not I've banked my profits.

Those that are being carried along by the 'pumping' need to be very careful.
As a dotcom sufferer and a Polly Peck shareholder I know what it feels like to be duped.

I've no axe to grind and no intention of buying back in to AVN.

Yes these contracts are small but as i understand it they are starter contracts and it,s expected that these companies will want more capacity as they build their customer base , at this stage the number of contracts is more important than the size of contracts. AVN said last year that they were confidant that 50 distributors would be enough to fill H1 and at the last count they had over 60. It,s not going to happen overnight but right now everything looks to be going to plan.

I am an enthusiastic holder of AVN, no way a deramper, but I am concerned that DW takes the trouble to announce contracts as small as £1mill. In a project of this size contracts like that are virtually background noise and contracts of at least £10mill are needed to make a significant impact. I strongly hope that we get some of those in the New Year.
Does anyone else agree or am I being too critical ?

Good for you IB.....I work in retail and I can tell you at this time of the year I want to lose my temper all the time!! (and often do lol)
I think the exposure of this company by many many sources over the last month or so has done us no harm at all. I have been here 4 years and am more than happy to sit out the next 4 (all being well). This company has never looked better and the future is bright. If other technologies come along then we can re assess at that time but that time is not now and in any case the satellites are highly adaptable which most in the sky are not therefore our satellites can offer a far larger amount of services.
Good luck to all and thanks to the usual posters (and yorgi for running the thread), and yes we are a little guilty of bigging this share up but then we are only responding to the positive articles written about avanti and david williams by many sources. I for one see this stock as relitively safe compared to most of the mining companies.

its natural to support a share you hold and to sometimes look at it through rose tinted specs but that is all it is, i've never seen anything other on here. superg has made his/her point and is moving on and we should do the same

Right, I pathetically couldn't help but look back to see if anybody cared and thank you v. much to you smarm, buck and yorgi of course. This is the wrong time of year to be getting cross and anyway it is far too trivial. It seems things improved when I left!! Anyway, I will resolutely ignore the nonsense and look in again.
