01/9/2010 12:57 | We could get an rns any day now announcing the launch date. After that the share price should move north as launch date approaches. | dolores123
31/8/2010 09:28 | Looks like the only slot now open to us is sometime in November on an Ariane 5 but the Arianespace timetable is jumping about so who knows!! Its about time the company issued another update! | dolores123
31/8/2010 08:40 | November's nothing if you've been holding these since mid-2008, Morgan Freedman. | jimbo55
29/8/2010 21:25 | They say a watched kettle never boils. November`s a long way off.Hope the share price holds up as we`re unlikely to get any confirmation till w3b is launched in October. | morgan freedman
29/8/2010 21:17 | They did say in the 12th July RNS... "The Board's estimate is that there is a risk of schedule delay of up to six weeks from the proposed end September launch. Avanti will update the market as soon as the launch partner and the launch date are settled." Which would take it to mid November. | someuwin
29/8/2010 21:06 | Ok,thanks-so it`s definitely going to be this year and if w3b is being launched in October,we are by definition going in either November or December. My guess is November-two month delay to original contract but let`s just get it up there. | morgan freedman
29/8/2010 20:35 | Press release from Arianspace 3 days ago... "Arianespace and India Bangalore, August 25, 2010 On the occasion of this week's World Space-Biz international conference in Bangalore, India, Arianespace reaffirms its position as the benchmark commercial launch services provider for the world's leading satellite manufacturers and operators. ... Pace-setting technical performance With 38 successful launches in a row over the last seven years, Ariane 5 has largely proven its technical maturity and operational capabilities. Arianespace set a new record for Ariane 5 in 2009, with seven launches during the calendar year that orbited nine commercial satellites and three European government payloads. Arianespace will maintain this pace in 2010. Since the beginning of the year, three Ariane 5 launchers have successfully orbited six payloads: ASTRA 3B and COMSATBw-2, ARABSAT-5A and COMS, and NILESAT 201 and RASCOM-QAF1R. Before the end of the year, three more Ariane 5 launches are slated, with one of them to orbit the HYLAS-1 payload, developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)." | someuwin
29/8/2010 20:24 | If the w3b sat launch has been put back till October ,what are the chances of Hylas 1 being brought forward to September? If Arianespace haven`t got a suitable launch vehicle , where does that leave them in relation to the contract they have with Avanti? Perhaps hylas will go back to a Soyuz launch vehicle but where? I think Avanti need to put out a statement over the next few days to let investors know where we stand. | morgan freedman
27/8/2010 21:35 | ok i have to be honest getting impatient now, give me the satellite ill get it up there somehow. | sco77harris
27/8/2010 11:04 | Good spot goneawol ... so from that info we can assume the Hylas 1 launch has been pushed back to at least November 2010 | marksnsparkle
26/8/2010 23:10 | Yes it is a nuisance Delores I agree. I would think your thoughts on the share price on launch anouncement and sucessful launch are in the right order as well. One thing for sure we are getting closer and one thing I very confident of is 2011 will be a good year with HYLAS1 in orbit and H2 and H3 in the pipeline. I would think always possabilty on hostile bid from a "big boy" next year as well but I'm not sure I want to see that and from what I háve heard from David Williams in the past I'm quite he wouldn't | yorgi
26/8/2010 15:07 | Hi Yorgi - buy volume seems low today. We need to close above 539.50 on the bid price to move on. Hopefully announcement of a firm launch date in the near future will take the share price over £6. After successful launch £8+. But the waiting is a nuisance!! | dolores123
26/8/2010 12:42 | Moving on again looks like we could break through for an all time high :-) Then launch and we will be away ! | yorgi
25/8/2010 16:36 | It will likely double in a short space of time is my opinion! | dolores123
25/8/2010 16:32 | A nice strong finish. Imagine where this might go on positive launch news. | pip_uk
25/8/2010 16:01 | impressive performance this week | sco77harris
25/8/2010 13:22 | Probably be announced on or after Sept 15th depending on how the next Ariane launch goes. | morgan freedman
25/8/2010 11:05 | The time frame to Hylas 1 becoming operational and income producing is shortening everyday as the launch must surely be before Xmas at the very latest. | dolores123
25/8/2010 10:06 | Very close to an all time high now. Approaching breakout territory? | someuwin
24/8/2010 16:23 | thanks i think ill put it between 150-200 points, just to be safe. | sco77harris
24/8/2010 15:47 | sco77harris ... Logical place for a worst case stop would be under £4.30p, i.e. under the last placing price ... If the share price was to go down buyers would most likely see the placing price as offering good value and so I would expect to see the price well supported at that level | marksnsparkle
24/8/2010 15:08 | peedlep where is your stop, im just weighing up, im thinking of putting a 200 point stop if i spread | sco77harris
24/8/2010 13:15 | I opened a December spread up yesterday, so hoping that between now and then the news is postive. Slightly worried about the global markets but feel this stock is very much news driven and so ignoring the daily movements and hoping we're up in the sky before the end of the year! | peedlep |
