11/8/2010 09:41 | As the "October launch date" appears to be in the public domain, albeit by default, the company should now issue a press release to confirm. Possibly Arianespace have not yet determined the exact date for the target orbit or perhaps some contractual terms need to be finalised although I would have thought that to be unlikely at this stage. In any event we should not have long to wait and today's share price will then seem cheap!! | dolores123
10/8/2010 17:10 | ...the real fun hasn't started yet! | someuwin
10/8/2010 17:09 | when will the fun end | sco77harris
10/8/2010 13:47 | website below says "end of October - HYLAS 1 & TBD - Ariane 5 ECA (V198)" But I don't know how accurate that information is or where they are getting it from | marksnsparkle
10/8/2010 11:09 | A firm date for October sounds good to me - perhaps we will see an rns soon | dolores123
10/8/2010 10:41 | ...Don't know about 'more' waiting - they've already told us that the launch could be delayed until mid November... "The Board's estimate is that there is a risk of schedule delay of up to six weeks from the proposed end September launch. Avanti will update the market as soon as the launch partner and the launch date are settled." | someuwin
10/8/2010 10:26 | wiki page has changed, it did show Hylas launching with B-Sat3b in October. Now B-Sat3b is on September launch, and Hylas down as October launch with koreasat 6. No idea of the source of wiki information, but it was accurate re imminent launch of B-sat3b at least. More waiting then... | naeclue
10/8/2010 09:36 | There is an ariane 5 launch on 15th September but as yet our sat is not named as one of the passengers! | dolores123
10/8/2010 08:14 | Then surely that's the status then???? S | smarm
10/8/2010 07:05 | On every RNS since the Schedule Confirmation on 12 May. | goneawol
09/8/2010 18:53 | Friday and today - two good days taking the share price over £5 - whether this was because of Immarsat or the up dated broker target of £22.50 - it does not matter. The main thing is that as the launch date approaches confidence and buying are rising and driving the share price higher. It seems to me that more and more people are starting to see the potential of this company. Announcement of the launch date might be tomorrow or might be days or weeks away. But what is becoming clear is that the launch is very unlikely to be delayed further and the launch risk is probably minimal given Arianespace's incredible and long lasting launch record again confirmed by the perfect launch achieved on August 4th. It is therefore, in my opinion, only a matter of a few short months before the share price doubles up to £10 or so. I bought more shares today personally and in my SIPP. | dolores123
09/8/2010 15:33 | One thing I think we all agree on if we think in terms of 12 months plus it is a screaming buy at this price | yorgi
09/8/2010 15:09 | I think we have all done 'rather well' , I invested at 168, 256 and 422 and was very happy to do so. the only point that I was making, and as things stand it is inescapable (welcome or not) is that we wont see a re-rating and consolidation till they finally announce the launch date, we agree on that at least I think. | chrissey
09/8/2010 15:02 | chrissey - well, I do 'plain daft' rather well! All the way up from circa 264, delays included. S | smarm
09/8/2010 14:14 | It will Dolores that's for sure | yorgi
09/8/2010 14:04 | chrissey is right, thanks! those who disregard the impact of any further launch delay announcements are, to use TW terminology, 'frankly plain daft'. | chrissey
09/8/2010 13:57 | Announcement of a firm launch date would remove a lot of uncertainty. | dolores123
09/8/2010 13:47 | i agree with smarm, inmarsat probably helped catalyse this rise along with broker upgrades and comments from sites like t1ps, and we were overdue a move up imo. With regards to launch and an rns, i dont think it is really an issue, they would struggle not to be able to get it up before the end of the year and either way a slight delay is neither here nor there in terms of future growth prospects. | sco77harris
09/8/2010 13:31 | smarm ... no worries, my mistake | marksnsparkle
09/8/2010 13:30 | mark - sorry, didn't mean you, I meant those who keep guessing when the RNS will appear with a launch date. S | smarm
09/8/2010 13:22 | smarm ... nobody is making up dates, my dates are from an RNS I posted and jonnib dates tally with that RNS | marksnsparkle
09/8/2010 13:19 | standish - thanks. I wish people would stop making up dates for RNS'. It will come when it will come. Clearly there's furter delay but it's really academic, they have a clear lead on any other player so we just need a little more patience. Charting a stock with a spread that can vary so much is misleading but regardless, we need a clean break of 550 (mid) for breakout and I'm sure that will come with the launch announcement. S | smarm
09/8/2010 13:16 | Chrissey is quite probably right | yorgi
09/8/2010 13:12 | The current suggested launch date is late Oct to Mid Nov assuming no more delays. Its not been nailed to a specific date yet...should announce very soon | jonnib |
