05/9/2010 11:09 | My current broadband speed is approx 0.970mbps download and 0.245mbps upload. Will I be able to buy a broadband service from them Avanti soon? | horneblower
04/9/2010 23:48 | im with jimbo read the rhps sheet, very encouraging, growth prospects are phenominal, room for 12 satellites in all, lets hop they get the contracts to support such growth. | sco77harris
04/9/2010 23:43 | Gents, the launch is very probably going to occur by the end of the year. Delays at Arianespace's end are not a factor under Avanti's control. If you've held these shares for a couple of years, a few more months is a near irrelevance. Goodnight all. | jimbo55
04/9/2010 19:36 | Many thanks for that information marknsparkle. Much appreciated. I understand from the posters on iii, that Tom Bulford's report in RHPS is very positive and although it does not nail down a launch date, this factor should not concern investors. please note that I have not seen the article myself. On another aspect, has anyone had troouboe this week and last getting onto ADVFN and also it being very slow ?. I have and it appears ,other may have too. if you have had this problem, could you possibly inform ADVFN because it has lasted so long I do not think they may be aware of any difficulties. Many thanks. | share_shark
04/9/2010 17:18 | From the RNS on the 28t.July 2010. See bottom para re launch. As a newbie, I must be missing something?. Can anyone explain please,re launch date?. TIA. | share_shark
04/9/2010 11:55 | Stegrego ... its definitely not October Ariane Flight 197 was scheduled for 15th September but there was a problem with one of the satellites and so the launch has now been officially delayed until "Second half of October 2010" ... Hylas 1 is next in the queue, i.e. Ariane Flight 198 ... so providing 197 gets away in October I would think Hylas 1 will be launched in the 2nd half of November or the first half of December But as Morgan Freedman says I doubt we will get confirmation of the Hylas launch date until the flight before it has taken off | marksnsparkle
04/9/2010 11:09 | Sorry, Just trying to establish a date, been holding these for a while. Was June, then was Sept, RHPS say Oct - you say Nov - that other post said Dec..... Thats where im coming from. | stegrego
04/9/2010 11:07 | no,we`re looking at Nov-not sure where you`re coming from,Stegrego | morgan freedman
04/9/2010 10:57 | We looking at delays again here then? Sept? Oct? Nov? Dec? Jan? | stegrego
04/9/2010 08:34 | It`s quite likely the Air and Cosmos schedule is correct as it`s the first time a partner satellite has been mentioned. Don`t think we will know the date for sure until w3b sat is launched in October. | morgan freedman

03/9/2010 15:12 | Why thank BB.................. Further to your iii comment, this is courtesy of one of the posters there. 'The excitement is really beginning to build around AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS (AVN). It's only a matter of weeks before Avanti launches its Hylas-1 satellite. And City experts are suddenly waking up to the serious opportunity here. How big an opportunity? Well analysts at Cenkos Securities have a target. They reckon Avanti could go to £22, from the 528p it trades on today. It's a bold forecast and more than twice my own target price. But as I point out in the September issue of Red Hot Penny Shares, Avanti is in an enviable position. It is the first mover and a hot new satellite technology. And it's poised to be the sole supplier of a service for which demand is rapidly growing. In the September issue, I update on the progress towards the launch of Hylas-1. And I also recommend two very exciting penny share companies in industries that are absolutely certain to experience strong growth for several years to come.' I should have access to this report tomorro. Will report back. Art. Edit. Forget to mention and comment on your excellent results on WCC,which I still retain. Well done. | share_shark
03/9/2010 14:46 | SS - another element which attracted me to this share was the quality of contributers on this and the iii board. | bongo bwana
03/9/2010 14:36 | Many thanks Dolores. | share_shark
03/9/2010 14:18 | Tom Bulford send an email last night and the full tip sheet comes out tonite or tomorrow. Hopefully the announcement of the date for the launch of Hylas 1 will be out very shortly and we can then expect a further increase in the share price perhaps over £6 ps. | dolores123
03/9/2010 13:37 | I don't subscribe to bulfourds tip sheet. | hibberts |
