"the case for and against AVN is based upon future earnings - which none of us have evidence for as yet."

Maybe, but we have plenty of evidence that AVN have been behind the curve on sales and cashflow since day one and anyone coming up with the mantra about 'looking forwards not backwards' needs to be pretty sure this leopard has changed its spots. Remember, they said this in 2010 and where are we now in 2016?

"we are confident that we can achieve the targets we have set ourselves to fill HYLAS 1 within three years and, under certain conditions, could expect to do better."

They didn't and, as has been discussed above if pugugly could be bothered to read it, such sales as they did report have included some pretty iffy transactions.

The only 'evidence' that counts is cash in the bank. I sold out when I saw it wasn't coming in as they forecast.

Elrico - the case for and against AVN is based upon future earnings - which none of us have evidence for as yet.

From your own words the 'evidence' presented is based upon other companies. This is innuendo not evidence. More reasons not to bother registering for that blog.

And is TW the same person accrillium who has been talking to himself on his own thread to attack Michaelmouse ?

Weatherman - Odd statement to make if you have not bothered to read it, so how can you say the article is not evidence based. You just make yourself look a chump.

The article offers quite a few stat's demonstrating quite a number of government based initiatives like the one with AVN and including the one with AFC (see AFC for more details), which failed to make any money for them. Avoiding negative information only serves to destroy your options to act on all known information, when PI's opt for this strategy typically destroy any chance they have of making the correct call and o their conkers.

Yes I have BUT (imo) mainly from holders wearing rose tinted glasses - The man while interesting did not send the message that this was a turnaround event (profit wise for the company) Hence the question.

The coy has been around (imo) too long without a real break through - A bit like ITM (and before anyone has a go at me on ITM I have been holding since floatation!)

So let me get this straight.... IYO the share price is too high but you know nothing about the company or management.

After reading that damning analysis I'd sell now, if I still owned any.

Well, I don't wish to register for that blog, but it doesn't seem to be based on evidence.

But michaelmouse my dear you were not a trader, you said yourself you were a long term holder from 300p in july 2014. I bet you assumed nobody would check your own blog. So a trader may have made 23%, we are not talking hypertheticals here we are talking about your guru skills at stock pickig, you have lost 92% by your own admission.

happyman you silly sausage you!!!!!!!

I did write an article on IEH. Here it is:-

The price subsequently climbed from 77p back up to over £1. At 77p I said this:-

"If I was a trader then I'd take a punt on Monday, it could recover some lost ground quite rapidly."

So I was correct!!!

Opening paragraph from the guru

Access Intelligence plc is one of my long term holds, and I last mentioned the company in July 2014

The company released their final results at the end of April, and I am hopeful that the next year or two may prove to be transformational for the company. Firstly, turnover was up a modest 2% on last year at around £8.5m. Encouragingly recurring revenue was up 8% at £6.6m making up 77% of sales and providing a solid financial footing for the company going forward. The company reported a small operating loss of £21,000, and cash on the balance sheet stood at just over £1.1m, although most recently the company disposed of Willow Starcom to K3 Business Technology for a total consideration of £1.75m which significantly increases their cash reserves.

end of quote because the rest is pure senile and only serves up another example of michaelmouses accounting skill, or interpritation of a balance sheet and we know good he is at this.

Whats left of his long term hold.

£29.95 and no need for a telephone line equates to £12 per month for broadband (with the phone). This could be the catalyst we have waited for - if it is good enough for the UK then it must be good enough for the outback?

Latest news report...Avanti Communications Group plc (“Avanti”;), a leading provider of satellite data communications services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa has now launched full scale national marketing of a government funded satellite broadband scheme in the UK.

Customers nationwide who are beyond the reach of good terrestrial service can now receive up to 30Mb satellite broadband, installed for free by Avanti service providers.

The scheme was piloted in January, and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) has this week begun the despatch of letters to the 300,000 homes eligible for the scheme. These homes can register with their county council for a voucher which will give them a free installation. Households will then only pay for monthly service charges, which begin at £29.95 per month.

Commenting, David Williams, Chief Executive Operator of Avanti, said: "Rural consumers have been waiting a long time for equal treatment in government funded of broadband. This scheme now means that no-one in Britain needs to pay anything upfront to receive a World Class satellite broadband service, all using pioneering British technology."

Like I have said, this pattern has been evident for a few weeks now, always the same, rises am and fall pm. PI's are being sucked in early then the seller feeds a few and will continue for some time because AVN is illiquid and the seller is trying to maintain a price for himself.

The above article shows how quickly the market is growing with an incentive plan in France for a large proportion to take up satellite broadband. These incentive plans in the UK, France and other EU countries offer the prospect of accelerated growth for AVN. SAT plans to expand its customer to 100,000 through acquisition and organic growth. AVN is one of three satellite owners working with SAT.
