07/3/2016 14:37 | Can we just stick to discussing AVN and not make it personal please. | ![]() yorgi
07/3/2016 14:05 | hpcg - Do enlighten us then as to when you would go short again? 135p, 150p, 200p, 400p, £1000? Personally, since elrico, yourself and others think it's going to zero then surely it would be more profitable just to keep your short open until the bitter end? Otherwise it's just a guessing game for you? Oh that's right, spreadbetting is a guessing game and a sure way to the workhouse. | ![]() michaelmouse
07/3/2016 13:41 | elrico - "Trailing stop at 115p". That's you gone then. LOL. | ![]() michaelmouse
07/3/2016 10:41 | Yes - predictions about the future are more questions than answers. I have no short position at the moment and I am looking at where to enter that position again. I can envisage a run up to the 125-135p area, maybe even 150. The share price does best in between periods of financial reporting, plus this is a good time of year for equities. | ![]() hpcg
07/3/2016 10:32 | I've bought a few more this morning... with recent announcements, and shortage of European supply, there will be growing confidence of meeting targets imo. | ![]() weatherman
07/3/2016 10:20 | Hpcg, Is that a question or a statement? You seem unsure... | garymott
07/3/2016 09:57 | The chart looks stronger here, along with lot of risk of course. Possibly some strength into the next results, which history suggests will be awful? | ![]() hpcg
06/3/2016 13:35 | It's called Humour and irony, wilks... | elrico
06/3/2016 10:44 | taken from elrico.s profile Take no notice of my ramblings, I know sod all about this investment malarky, each time a throw and a Dart in to the FT I miss. However, I do some times stumble across a good investment. now that tells a story | ![]() wilksey1

04/3/2016 19:04 | www.satelliteinterne £265 set up fees looks pretty good to me. How much would that add to your property value? Several thousands perhaps? I wonder if elrico stinks :O) | nugacity

04/3/2016 17:39 | Monkey - Yes desperate all the way down from 190p @ £23 pp. Trailing stop at 115p, there so you don't have to lose any sleep. Are any of you here original...the tw theme is a tad boring, unimaginative and frankly childish. I know some of you can't think for yourselves or read a balance sheet but hey, you have to vent your frustration for your own I'll planed investment on somebody. FYI TW aimed at me = filter | elrico
04/3/2016 17:26 | www.satelliteinterne £9.95 pm in Wales for 20Mb feed will surely satisfy most people who want broadband. Games addicts maybe not but I think we should not be bothered with them anyway. | nugacity
04/3/2016 15:38 | elpooro, you are getting more desperate. | monkeywrench

04/3/2016 15:15 | Sg - have you taken up the AVN service then? If so, can you comment on the price and quality? | elrico
04/3/2016 15:00 | I live in a rural area. 4G? Seriously we can't even get a signal on our mobiles most of the time. Using a mobile for internet access would be impossible. I struggle by on a speed of 2.2. | ![]() sg31
04/3/2016 14:06 | Weatherman - ask yourself this question; if you had the choice (and the target demographic do) would you pay £200 pm or pay say £50 pm on a 4G tariff with top range smart phone. That is just one example, there many others with just data packages. Not cheap but much cheaper than what AVN and the government are attempting and failing to do. And how long is the government sub contracted for before customers pick up 100% of the tab. Don't forget, BB providers are also being pushed to expand their reach. In 12/24 months’ time I guarantee you we will not be talking about this but debt, dilution or death of AVN…I SUSPECT much earlier, 12/18 months max. | elrico
04/3/2016 12:32 | I think it's more like £200/month for typical family usage. Plus you run the risk of the provider going bust in 6 months. | ![]() bwakem
04/3/2016 11:41 | A handful of people after just a few weeks.... The price I saw was comparable to BT Broadband when you factor in line rental etc. Judge the take up after 12-24 months. | ![]() weatherman
04/3/2016 11:24 | Nug - even win government subsidies it's expensive to take up, hence why only a handful of people have taken it up out of an estimated 300,000. It's just cheaper to opt for a mobile bb. | elrico
04/3/2016 10:44 | The Wright Stuff Interesting paper review - in some parts of Gloucestershire the broadband speeds are slower than on Mt Everest! Quoted 11 hours to download the latest Bond film! Matthew said they have satellite broadband on Everest so why on earth doesn't Gloucs have satellite? A few people will have paid attention to that I hope? | nugacity |
