Yes, would be nice to break out decisively upwards towards 350p again. When it does it will move fast imo.

Hi 2vdm. Yes I am a joint holder and still believe that there is upside in both businesses. Luckily I wasn't an RHPS reader for as long as you so I am in a profit on both stocks and ignored his badly timed sell advice at somewhere south of 150 on Avanti. I also thing jeffian gave a good summary sorry for the delay but just back from weeks hols

Ah hindsight John.

I noticed that RIVP has called in the administrators. All the failures are someone else's fault and he still keeps trying to "sell" his advice on his tip devices.

I kept getting a message from ADVFN saying that I had an unread message.
Clicked on it to find an advert for Hot Stock Rockets . . . by none other than Tom Winnefrith. Blimey, he doesn't give up does he. Oh dear oh dear.

Nice little post Jeffian. As you say, there seems a lot more up side than down, now. Just wish I'd had the forsight to close out when Hylas 1 took off, along with the share price then.

GLA,
John

A pretty good summary I would say Jeffian.

Not a joint holder but I am clinging on from a much higher price around the time of the first launch and still underwater having 'averaged down' at the last profit warning. I am completely non-technical so can't comment there but the thing I focus on is that this company has financed and launched 2 satellites with a 3rd on the blocks and that involves bankers, substantial institutional shareholders including the Govt of Singapore, the ESA and other institutions and investors who have subsequently supported the recent Corporate Bond issue and at every step these people will have done due diligence on the cashflow assumptions supporting AVN's financial structure. With the launch risk now eliminated, the 'bear' case can only be that there is no demand for the service and their sats won't get filled. I personally feel that is unlikely but if I'm wrong, there's an awful lot of bigger fish than me who will have egg on their faces.

(Edit: Sorry - the fish/egg thing is probably a metaphor mixed too far!)

Anyone here also in IOF? Like 2350220's post (805), I followed TW and have got slaughtered with an average of £5.45. Just considering whether I should cut my losses and switch, and would have done, except Walsh is now on board. Thoughts from any joint holders appreciated.

I'm not sure it's true either. If someone is looking at AVN it doesn't mean any offer will be made or accepted if it is.

Oh sod, if that's true Pigherder, then I doubt that they will want to pay what many folk on here have paid for their shares.
My Spreadbet average is around 280p but my long term SIPP holding is much bigger in the upper 500p mark.

I suspect I'm not alone in having followed Tom Winnefrith's tips all those years ago, when he was talking £10 - £20 a share!!

Oh well, let's see where we go....

John

Industry news from last week - a major European competitor (can't name for privacy issues) is carrying out due diligence now with a view to making an offer for AVN.
