17/12/2009 10:57 | Continued contract announcements just underpin the price from here , i am very happy with this stock. | ![]() jonnyno1
17/12/2009 09:03 | Getting very close to support line, watching with great interest, I really like this company. Will we see £4 again, I don't know but with 2010 nearly here and a bit of satellite polishing I would be calling this a buying opportunity. | ![]() arai

07/12/2009 14:10 | johnroger - when did Daniel stewart mention the 540p price target? Recent price targets have been quoted at £7 per share. No doubt for a slightly longer time frame than June 2010. | ![]() dolores123
05/12/2009 17:06 | Avanti Communications* (AVN) announced that it has signed a 0.66 million euro 5-year contract with Satconexion of Spain for broadband services on the HYLAS 1 satellite due for launch in the second quarter of 2010. Avanti said that it anticipates building a significant business base in Spain via Satconexion offering improved service to large enterprises and public administration customers, as well as enabling the delivery of competitively priced products aimed at residential users. Avanti's share price has appreciated 150% since mid-March 2009 and is now 22% short of broker Daniel Stewart's 540p target price, based on the (5-year DCF) valuation of HYLAS1 post-launch in 2010. "Avanti's long-term appeal remains the strength of its satellite-based broadband proposition for remote area access, throughout Europe," commented the broker. Avanti is also one of Daniel Stewart's "Top Picks" for winter 2009. Shares in the company finished 23.5p lower at 416p. * The company is a corporate client of Rivington Street Holdings, the ultimate owner of this website; the T1ps Smaller Companies Growth Fund owns shares in Avanti. | ![]() johnroger

04/12/2009 07:19 | A lot of companies out there must be wondering what is it about the quality of the sales team here. Now these guys are well worth their bonus. When you look at the RNS's over the past year you would think the printer was stuck. And only 6 months from launch. Have a good one guys. | ![]() codhead1

24/11/2009 08:35 | Does anyone know if the chairman is same David Williams from Waste Recycling some years ago ? I hope so. He made a nice little profit for me there. Very shrewd. What a civilised well informed bunch you seem to be on this thread. I hope it continues, unlike DES where the morons are coming thick and fast. | ![]() altom
23/11/2009 19:01 | Nothing serious intended Delores. Just havin a laugh. AVN goes from strength to strength. Be lucky. | ![]() codhead1

20/11/2009 08:13 | codhead - can't say I agree with your comment. The fact is we have had a slight retracement and hopefully the share price is ready to move forward again. | ![]() dolores123
19/11/2009 17:34 | Dolores - plesase make your postings quietly- looks like the mm's spotted your comment and decided a tree shake was due.LOL | ![]() codhead1
19/11/2009 13:58 | A recent quote from the chairman stated in one of Avanti's web site 3rd party articles was as follows:- "Mr Williams is clearly not lacking in ambition and said that if the company continued to launch satellites at a rate of one every two years, one day it could rival some of the telecoms sector's biggest companies in size." | ![]() dolores123
18/11/2009 12:50 | The news about the second and subsequent satellites should indeed be transformational and hopefully take the share price through the 700p price target recently mentioned in the RHPS magazine!! D123 | ![]() dolores123
18/11/2009 12:21 | no, it was always going to be the the second quarter which takes you up to may/june. Anyway the transformational news will be the financing on the second and third satellites and i think we should have news soon enough. the move to arianespace was a very wise decision and as mentioned derisks the launch considerably. only two risky events, the assembly and delivery of HYLAS and the launch itself, otherwise all other newsflow will just add to the share price imo. j. | ![]() jonnyno1
18/11/2009 12:19 | The word "Summer" in the RNS refers to the upgrade up to the more reliable Ariane announced on 1 July 09, and in the period from July 09 to now "several large scale pipeline opportunities have taken significant steps towards contract". July is in the summer. | sirlurkalot
18/11/2009 11:37 | Today`s rns talks about a "launch in the summer"-is that a shift in timetables? | blue forever
18/11/2009 10:09 | Avanti have said that they have derisked the launch by using the Arianne launch facility which is supposed to be the most reliable. | ![]() dolores123
18/11/2009 08:21 | keeps on trucking. | ![]() jonnyno1
17/11/2009 18:08 | > Arai - 17 Nov'09 - 17:33 - 775 of 775 > > any long term guys can see an issue comming up or anything I may need > to be aware of pre purchase ? Couple of things. 1. Hylas Satellite launch is scheduled for next Spring with Arianne Space. If anything goes wrong, the satellite is insured for £90 million. However, you would undoubtedly see the share price tank. 2. Avanti's share price has spiked significantly today and had a good day yesterday. Spikes invariably see some selling, so if you're prepared to be patient you might get a better entry opportunity. AVN's share price has made significant inroads this year, and the rises seem to be gathering momentum. However, there have been long periods of inactivity and I suspect the recent price rises have been on anticipatory buying on the potential for news of the next (bigger) satellite to be launched after Hylas. The main risk with this stock is obviously if the Hylas launch fails next Spring. A successful launch will derisk Avanti significantly. However, you could end up paying a higher price for that certainty. | ![]() jimbo55
17/11/2009 17:33 | Hi, just been brought to my attention, have had a good read and a bit of DD and all seems well here. How does the matter of dilution stack up here, any long term guys can see an issue comming up or anything I may need to be aware of pre purchase ? Thanks A. | ![]() arai
17/11/2009 11:04 | Hopefully the company will receive news of EC/government grants to fund second satelite before xmas. This is also my largest holding by a long way. | ![]() dolores123 |
