Thanks boys and girls for the info. It explains why the share price dived.

I'm grateful for the hard work on this AVN thread(SS, Scott et al)and the sharing of research. Its good to see a sensible thread.

I was lucky enough to jump on board today at 601 (should have waited a little longer but had twitchy fingers!)

Lets hope that AVN share price joins Hylas 1 in orbit.

I can see a double-double check being completed before the launch, as the firm will not want a sequential failure.

Statistically (in terms of the possibility/risk of a sequential failure) this is probably good news.

Launched last night and developed a fault.

Just topped up with another 2500 at £5.875 so well pleased given we are only 27 days from launch now and all looking good. MM trying to bring an institution on board before lift off!

It does seem odly amusing, earlier this week we have yet another contract anounced, Ariane has another launch go to plan and AVN's share price is dropped....

With 39 consecutive launches if the next one were to fail it would be the 1 in 40. By my reckoning that gives a 3% chance of failure to avanti's launch. Obviously nothing is that straight forward, but when equating a risk reward ratio it certainly puts it into perspective.

Yes we had one a couple of weeks ago and as soon as a few nervous holders sold out it was back up again.....I don't think there is anything to worry about but what who knows !!!

Delighted and relieved for AVN and 'Yorgie' too.

However, in all my professional career I have learned to assess each case/scenario on its individual merits and otherwise. The successful launch is reassuring.

It does not however, alter the risk profile. But, its a risk profile Im very happy with.
