04/3/2024 11:13 | They obviously don't want it otherwise they would have subscribed for a big chunk when the share price was over a £1 to take a strategic stake. The fact that they've had to do a hugely discounted placing to the usual City of London Barrow Boys tells you all you need to know about how the BPs value Avacta right now. | 1347
03/3/2024 20:37 | Whitey - the green eyed monster. And wet behind his ears. Set ups Whitey, get with the plan. Patience essential. No set up here at the mo. Convi reset next ...have too. Enjoy the greenery fella. | amanitaangelicus
03/3/2024 17:29 | jonny obviously the raise got leaked hence they had to raise at 50p | stockhunters
03/3/2024 15:59 | Think there will be lots of news. I don't have any problems' Full steam ahead | fieldhouse
03/3/2024 15:52 | No matter you will still be able to time your trades perfectly, scoundrel. | pwhite73
03/3/2024 13:58 | Feel sorry for the trapped. Smith has shafted them whilst promising the earth. Van we believe a thing he says? Sadly, no. News always late, pi.s last to know. Now a big news void until 2025 other than Smith twaddle. I fear the worse. | amanitaangelicus
02/3/2024 22:47 | There was inadequate demand to keep the stock at 100p (hence it fell to 75p before the placing), so the idea that they could have raised £25m at that level is laughable. Even the Board only threw in £65k here, probably less than AS spent on the kitchen in his new house. Almost like they know the equity is getting zeroed but were told to throw some change in to have any chance of getting the placing away | jonnywalker77
02/3/2024 13:50 | Thank you. | rajraj b
02/3/2024 11:39 | Yes I admit it. It was a comment that went too far and I sincerely apologise. I have edited my last post. | pwhite73
02/3/2024 10:59 | Raj b - "So a ‘real’ II could buy below 3% and not need to show a TR1. So, 2.99% would be a fairly substantial holding and you wouldn’t be any the wiser." Yes that's correct. But the point of mentioning institutions is to instil confidence in retail shareholders. If the institution is under 3% then you don't know if the institution is Berkshire Hathaway managed by Warren Buffet which would send the share price soaring or AJ Bell, Hargreaves or Interactive Investor which indicates retail shareholders. | pwhite73
02/3/2024 10:18 | So a 'real' II could buy below 3% and not need to show a TR1. So, 2.99% would be a fairly substantial holding and you wouldn't be any the wiser. Might be a bit pointless waiting on TR1's then as confirmation that 'real' II have bought in. What did you mean by doing 'anything silly'? | rajraj b
02/3/2024 10:10 | Raj b - The minimum holding required to submit a TR1 is 3% or over. AJ Bell etc are real institutions. Perhaps 'misleading' is the wrong word and I should be using the term 'promotion'. The promotion is that an institution interested in the health sector has suddenly taken an interest in AVA6000 at 50p when it had no interest at 200p or when they first published the detailed Phase 1 results in December 2023 when the price was 140p. Unless a TR1 is filed by an institution all the new placing stock is with retail shareholders. | pwhite73
02/3/2024 10:06 | Lol mc pumpy dumpy, he does love his deciples, open and transparent, oh dear | repins1
02/3/2024 09:46 | Also, thank you for clarifying that the new institutional investors are AJ Bell, Interactive Investor and Hargreaves Lansdowne in the capacity as holding accts. Seems strange that AS would want to fool/mislead people that way. That's very deceitful if that's the case. Or maybe there could be some real II involved? Can't remember what the minimum holding is required before a TR1 is needed. | rajraj b
02/3/2024 09:45 | These boards are all anonymous posters ,all with differing agendas Trust no-one !! At least Myles is not anonymous. I think his research has been excellent and informative. He has put his head above the parapet for all to see . He bought in very cheap and has a core holding . He openly admits that he trades . Open and transparent, not like most on this board ! dyor | fieldhouse
02/3/2024 09:40 | What do you mean by done something silly? | rajraj b
02/3/2024 09:34 | Very knowledgeable owf, Could be correct.Without proof, "supposition" Checking some of your facts ! Arizaph trials with ARI-3996 that did not show the response necessary and needed to increase effectiveness tenfold were using Bortezomib. A totally different drug form Dox. Clearly Ariszaph let Tuffts re licence to another company to try with different drugs. Avacta came up with a plan and ,so far has had a huge success. I am afraid "misinformation is rife on these boards Truth is a short commodity | fieldhouse
02/3/2024 09:24 | Rajraj b - I'm so relieved to know you are still with us and haven't gone and done anything silly. You ask - "I would like to know who the significant institutional investors and European Healthcare fund" All shares are placed with institutions. Unless you're buying the shares direct from the company you will buy the shares through an institution. On 28/02/2024 they told you which institutions would participate in the REX Retail Offer. RNS 28/02/2024 - "At the time of this announcement the following intermediaries have confirmed their participation in the REX Offer: - AJ Bell · Hargreaves Lansdown · interactive investor" Do you recognise any of those names?. So unless a TR1 is issued the institutions are the usual nominated brokers for PIs. As for the European Healthcare Fund again totally misleading. There are millions of health care funds out there. What matters is if they took the placing shares at 50p and held onto them hence a TR1 is issued or they took the placing shares at 50p and forward sold them them to PIs. In short if there are no TR1s to follow the placing then all the placing shares issued are with PIs. | pwhite73
02/3/2024 09:13 | Where is @tickboo it's times like this we need emotional support? He's been posting 5 times a day when the share price was motoring up. Surely this is the time to provide some reassuring comments? Why has he stopped copy and pasting bullish comments from LSE. Surely now the shares present outstanding value? He thought so at 160p so he must think so now. You just can't rely on these rampers | loglorry1
02/3/2024 09:11 | Dudishes Some kept saying funds to end of year, fund raise earliest in April, Myles pumping in the middle of a 50p raise. Yet a few here warned it was coming, I see one holder even threatened to report negative posters to the FCA on the point. Instead of just accepting some know the behaviours of the market or just plain knew through a leak from an insider that a raise was coming. Yet those warning them, to try to save them from buying high, are lying scum 🤷a | ohwhatfun |
