28/12/2018 12:17 | At some point you’d expect the repositioning to conclude, if indeed it hasn’t already. Then things could get interesting, even with the markets the way they currently are. Further contract news would be great of course, but the LG Chem deal should be enough for a re rate really. Let’s see where the next few weeks takes us. | bumpa33
28/12/2018 12:10 | Still 31p to buy online since the tick up to 32p offer on monitor | dave4545
28/12/2018 12:08 | Very good point @Bumpa, just over 23m shares in freefloat if the percentages stay the same. As I said earlier this week, if we get more positive contract news it could really fly, as the overhang is gone/largely gone & “musical chairs” between large holders have concluded. | 74tom
28/12/2018 12:03 | from the last Bloomberg Shareholder list I had, the stock was 78.51% held - top 19 holders. Clearly there has been some ‘musical chairs’ in holdings since then and I’m guessing still some TR1’s to come, but assuming that overall this percentage of insti/notifiable holders stays roughly consistent, that’s not much of a free float out there for everyone else... | bumpa33
28/12/2018 11:53 | Looks like it's going to spike today though, some chunky buys at full 31p now | dave4545
28/12/2018 11:51 | Very little stock out there today. | bumpa33
28/12/2018 11:50 | A rule in a potential bear market of 2019 which will yield nothing. You need to weigh up current market conditions and play them. | dave4545
28/12/2018 10:28 | Disagree that it depends on the markets, unless we have an armageddon event. With a 33m Mcap if the positive news flow continues in 2019 the current share price will increase considerably. Trading is fine but it’s such behaviour that has held the current share price below 33p since the LG deal, as every time we get momentum a rash of 10% profit taking occurs. The simplest rule that allows the price to rise and derisks fully it to sell half when the price doubles, leaving a free carry on the remainder. | 74tom
28/12/2018 09:58 | Depends on the overall markets. Even if you are a long term investor it would do you good to trade your holdings as well if they have a good run. Say for example you hold 100k in this, trade 25k and hold 75k, say it spikes to 33p sell 25k, if it keeps rising great you hold 75k but if it drifts back to 30p you buy back the 25k you sold and bank £750 rinse and repeat, I'm sure that money would pay some bills. If we have a tough 2019 you'd be glad of all the trading profits you have made. | dave4545
28/12/2018 09:51 | Onwards and upwards Dave, 2019 is going to be a transforming year. The market cap is tiny compared to the sums that will be coming our way. | 1i1i1i
28/12/2018 09:36 | Seems to have cleared any lines of stock available as full 30p to buy now online on a wide spread so looks good again | dave4545
27/12/2018 00:30 | Buy low sell high. | escapetohome
26/12/2018 22:39 | Yep good to see another large holder increasing their shareholding. Just need to see the back of Aviva & Ruffer and we should be free to move up without any selling. Having read back through this thread there are a number of posters, in particular Wan, who became disillusioned with the progress made by Avacta and for a myriad of different reasons they sold their shares. The first in man trials are due to start in 2020, and in the meantime we have had a number of very positive developments, so now seems like the perfect time for any previous investors to get back in. What I thought was particularly interesting was announcing the appointment of Dr Jose Saro just 2 days after the LG deal. It could be coincidence, but was he waiting for LG to complete their due diligence and announce the deal before he committed himself? I truly believe that the deal was a game changer, and that the coming months will illustrate this. One thing is for sure, if we announce another deal like LG, the share price won’t ever be revisiting the 28p levels again ;) Hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas & best wishes for the New Year! | 74tom
26/12/2018 17:32 | 21/12 Mole Valley now up through the 3% level - missed that. | bumpa33
24/12/2018 12:02 | Have a great Christmas and New Year all holders, 2019 will be a prosperous one. | 1i1i1i
21/12/2018 08:04 | Think we’ll get another Lombard Odier TR1 either today or Monday as they have been adding since the last RNS, be nice if they were over 10% | 74tom
20/12/2018 16:06 | Very small holding left for Aviva to sellLombard Odier are buyers and you saw Hambro's increaseQ1 will see more license deals and or partnershipUpdate from Tufts will also cause momentumJP Morgan health care conference coming up after New year , the largest of it's kind . Immuno oncology is moving to the forefront and specific therapeutic approaches such as PARP and PD-1/PDL1 are hitting the headlines . Expect more news / partnerships/ license deals and Avacta will indeed be in demand to discuss It's lead Immuno - oncology programme with various potential partners and the potential for the pipeline of Affimer therapeutic assets to attract partnering.Q1 will be an exciting quarter | hampton58
