14/5/2008 15:08 | a44 cheers ,yeah I know and am cautious , was just toying with the idea | powwow
14/5/2008 15:02 | I urge caution powwow a share doesn't dropped like this for nothing, I am surprised the company has not already made an announcement. | a44
14/5/2008 14:57 | now I wonder if its a good time to pick up a few again as the bounce seems to indicate it could do the same again if it closes at this level.. | powwow
14/5/2008 14:57 | Well I guess the market has the same though as me that a cash strapped company that has stopped research and has issues with a key product doesn't have a strong negotiation position in any sale process. If you were looking to buy the company why not let it go to the wall then pick it up on the cheap. I did warn I have seen this many times before classic pump and dump as I noted on 27/03/08. The only hope for holders is that they are after some cheap shares before announcing a deal, but I remain sceptical of this being true. | a44
14/5/2008 14:19 | still dont get why the huge fall... | powwow
14/5/2008 14:17 | i was out at 17p. | powwow
13/5/2008 07:34 | Be lucky to all those that bought but at the moment after today's RNS news I am glad I sat on the side. Looks like a race to fund or firesale imho. | a44
18/4/2008 08:16 | barclays are quite good too. cheers | powwow
17/4/2008 17:50 | For once I know my brokers have this one correct (Only because I checked against another). UBS have reduced their holding by 64K. Not really significant either way I would guess. Also had a look at Self Trade seemed OK but as far as I can see don't offer level 2 or trade on AUD market? | a44
17/4/2008 14:11 | so UBS Global Asset Management (UK)Ltd have got some stock too..?? | powwow
16/4/2008 12:53 | a44, 1)up to date news can be seen via advfn or any other financial site 2) Brokers, there is no excuse no days to use a cr@p broker. Self trade are quite good, well most of the time when you can get stock, other at that point in time, phone through or send the dealer the deal, and they'll most of the time get what you want. who do you use? | powwow
16/4/2008 10:15 | so INVESCO LIMITED were happy to pick up the shares increasing their stake to 6+%. | powwow
16/4/2008 08:12 | a44, sometimes people just want out, When they've seen a low low, then a higher high than normal, they'll sell. There is always someone else who wants the stock as they see a higher high than the previous high. ;) | powwow
15/4/2008 11:27 | well someone has took the shares. 173,000 sterling is quite a bit of money to spend without thinking you're going to get them back. Maybe the bidders or those parties looking at buying the company is parts of the company are buying them. | powwow
15/4/2008 11:23 | I would be more concerned that they were happy to sell at 16p e.g. current price, as I bet they know more than us. | a44
15/4/2008 11:19 | Who's bought them ? LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Rathbone Brothers Plc. has sold off its approximate 1.65 percent stake in pharmaceutical company Ardana Plc. According to a filing to the stock exchange, Rathbone sold 1.08 million shares at 16 pence a share on April 15, leaving it with no interest in the company. Rathbone previously sold 100,000 shares on April 11. It also sold 1.50 million shares on March 27, the day when Ardana confirmed it had received a number of offer approaches for the company, boosting its share price to an intraday high of 20-3/4 pence. | n_w_b
10/4/2008 15:05 | The CEN deal shows that there is money available for acquisitions so all is not lost for ARA. 53% premium to share price | vow
09/4/2008 14:36 | Natwest and I am being told the order will not go through due to MiFID. Quote "you are expressly instructing us to NOT publish your limit order to other market participants". Mmm sounds like a cop out as they claim they offer better pricing by doing this. I believe they do this so they can move amongst their existing clients. So this would make sense why an illiquid stock is hard to trade with them. They have now confirmed that if I especially request the order can be published under certain criteria! | a44
09/4/2008 13:35 | yes its time. It will take two weeks set it all up with selftrade, from form filling to confirmation, however you should be able to call up a bank and buy shares on the fly I'm sure. Who is your broker.? | powwow
09/4/2008 10:04 | Yeah, I though that is what you were saying so why can my broker not get any order though! I have tried from 10k down to 100 and still can not get it through. Perhaps it is time to look at another broker. | a44
09/4/2008 09:30 | what I mean is you could sell 100,000 shares and buy 100,000 shares on selftrade right now if you wanted too. | powwow
09/4/2008 09:29 | selftrade are quite good , then theres barclays, the halifax and the sharecentre.. take a look | powwow |
