27/3/2008 14:05 | looking at there recent interim management statement they had 6.1 million in the bank at the end of Jan 2008. It looks like there burn rate may be about 1 million a month at a glance worst case scenario so at best end of july they'd look to complete the sale.. I suspect they have 4 million or so in the bank. but will look further into the cash burn. | powwow
27/3/2008 13:48 | Take both of your points but I think I am going to sit on the side for a bit. I recall a statement a while back stating they required funding which is hardly the easiest thing to achieve at present. So I put 2+2 together and assume that licensing or sale are due to funds. Remember that cash balance is a historical thing, so it might have been £xx at some point but what is it now? Obviously we aren't going to know that but as it is also their year end this month I am willing to bet it is pretty poor. I am going to watch this one closely and at present I have turned down an entry point of 19.25p and more recently of 18.95p. I will let you know if I jump in but I guess by the lack of trades you could work this out for yourself. | a44
27/3/2008 13:37 | A valid point a44, but in this instance I dont think its an issue. Their market cap was value at less than their cash balance pricing their other activities at zero. As the company has the a future if not alone but with a partner via licences or a merger, then they were and are unvalued at todays price, because there is clearly demand for the product, trails are doing well, and its a matter of time they either sign licences which will see the company onto better fortunes or they'll sell up if they are offered the right price. Eitherway something good will come as I find it hard to believe nothing at all will happen and they would just say right o no licenses and no sell of the company as we lied. One of the many options will come through. They have cash in the bank so they are not going bust, hence they are assessing all the options. They were priced to fail as if they had no money in the bank ad no future, but we do know they have money and have a future. | powwow
27/3/2008 12:53 | a44 your bound to be able to buy plenty after a rise like this its just finding a new level of trading at the mo...You can either buy in now thinking its going to settle down higher or wait & see if it trends lower... I have gone in for some after watching these for the past week & gutted I didn't get in earlier I hope your not in the same boat as I was, next week. | chesty1
27/3/2008 12:47 | Anyone know how reliable the directors are, as I am worried given the announcement how easy it is to pick a load up? Not yet in but being cautious as seen many go this way then al1 offers are off statement, e.g. classic pump & dump. Today's trades also seem to support this. | a44

27/3/2008 11:12 | Taken from a previous post pow... What a sad story; all the products are valued at nothing. ???? Ardana chief executive plays down new share-price low as 'irrelevant' ARDANA plunged to a fresh low of 9p yesterday, valuing the Edinburgh-based pharmaceutical company at roughly its bank balance. Chief executive Huw Jones insisted last night that the firm, which is seeking a merger with a cash-rich group, was pleased with the progress it was making, and dismissed the share slide, on light trading, as "irrelevant". Ardana dropped 2p to 9p, the company is now valued at just under £5.9 million, compared with its cash pile of £6.1m last month. | chesty1
27/3/2008 11:09 | no worries got a small amount this time, sounds like they are keen to move all parties on together with either a license option for one or many parties or the sale of the company. Do they have 6 million cash in the bank? | powwow
27/3/2008 11:06 | That was my main reason for diving in today...They are telling us it shouldn't have fallen from the 19th of Feb & for the shorters to move on as there's nothing to see here apart from blue. I will let you know if I top up Pow. | chesty1
27/3/2008 11:04 | based on the below Given the level of interest in the Company and its products generated by the Process to date, the Board sees no reason for the significant fall in share price since the announcement on 19 February 2008. they are basically saying they feel they are worth at least 27p as it stands. If they also believe they liecensing will generate further revenues which do not exist at the moment, then there's no reason for them to ask for more at this stage Either they can get a license which will mean they'll be worth more than todays price anyway as its new revenue, or they sell the whole lot. It all depends what the exist strategy is for the owners/shareholders, they may be happy to settle for 30p as a premium, otherwise they may well go for the license route as that will create new revenue streams. whats your views? | powwow
27/3/2008 10:45 | well selling at todays prices would be too low, however it will depend on the companies future ability on earnings and what they feel us fair value. 23p is a good breakout looking at the charts. | powwow
27/3/2008 10:43 | To be honest with you powwow I have only been following these since last week & have done soem research over the past of this co.... It has cash in hand but needs to slim down, I hope they don't sell up completely & be a cash shell it would be in there, & shareholders best interest to just sell part of the co & bring the rest of the co forward. What do you think after taking the plunge today. | chesty1
27/3/2008 10:38 | chesty1 you know much about the company at all if so what do we think they are worth in todays market, basically what would they sell out at. | powwow
27/3/2008 10:35 | A close above 20p would do me very nicely & would be more than happy for ARA to form a base here before the next piece of news & push north. Be lucky to all & I will stop waffling on now, kids at school & missus in work what else is there to do. (I am no chartist but has this one broken the downward trend line & onto a big break-out). | chesty1 |
