That post (scroll back a bit) about the fact that it had the liquidity to recover from 3p (intra-day) to close at 9p in 1 day is intriguing.

Any good news and it has the ability to fly at a rate of knots.

No RNS to say that they see no reason for the rise either, which suggests that this share has just dropped too low and yesterdays rise may just be the start of things in order to put some kind of realistic valuation on the company. imo dyor.

You are right to feel a little skeptical about yesterdays rise. I have taken a dabble here.

Yes it did it opened at 3p & then recovered during the day and close blue at 9p back in March & could not believe my eyes. Nobody was able to get hold of many that day.

Be lucky to all & lets see what today holds.

Chesty, when did it last hit 3p? I can't see anywhere on the chart when it closed at 3p, unless it was one enormous intraday collapse and then recovery??

I am probably sounding like a de-ramper, in fact I am not, I am not a holder or a shorter, was just interested after seeing the rise today, I might dip my toe in first thing in the morning but am rather wary of these collapsed penny stocks, even if they are in takeover talks...

cyberbub-Lloyds could just be a nominee holding (surely?), what significance does that have? Anyone can be desperate seller in this climate, means nothing.

You then say surely Lloyds would know? perhaps someone should be onto them if that's the case.

MONIS, according to the RNSes, ARA had 4M in the bank at the end of March but was spending 13M per year, therefore say that the cash pile is now down to 2M (if they are lucky). Current share price of 6p x 65M shares in issue, gives a market cap of 4M. Therefore they are currently valued at twice their cash reserves. So either it is a short-term pump and dump, or else someone knows that the 'real assets' you refer to are about to be realised through a buyout... Personally I think that the big rise has happened too soon, the FSA will be watching and if they see the share price doubling a full day or two before a formal bid announcement, they will be onto them... also why would Lloyds reduce their holding just a few days ago, surely they would have known whether there was a bid on the cards?

The real assets, the phase 3 drugs plus the other compounds are worth a
multiple of the present market cap imho.

If i knew there was some good news on the horizon for ARA i'd buy more, certainly cheap at this rate.

It looks like the rise has just started, there is no resaon why they won't have a buyer at a large premuim to todays price imo.

this is odd, on ARA.GB ( plus market)its showing 188% but on ARA (LSE) its showing 118%

I take it any move on PLUS is now not showing on LSE ? if so we could be losing out as its still climbing.
