16/8/2007 12:28 | Are Barclays accumulating here? | lng
13/8/2007 17:38 | You are correct of course, Mr/ Mrs Hog | mistertibbs
11/8/2007 08:00 | No it is rather better 0.2p per share | flyinghog
10/8/2007 17:59 | So it's a divi of 0.02p for shareholders registered on 21/09/07. That's nice to be getting on with. | mistertibbs
09/8/2007 11:57 | Mas. If your still there, all I can say at this stage is we are getting involved in a whole heap of unknown. The management of SMC obviously had completely lost it and looks to me at the moment like a nightmare, despite the business they have, including the brand new Morrison store right on my doorstep. If the company they bought in Glasgow did indeed design the Armadillo concert hall in Glasgow, then that's good as is the work currently going on in the Pacific Quay in the City Centre of Glasgow, a serious amount of development is taking place. However, I have serious reservations.I wonder if the provisions of £10m will be enough, who the hell knows. Still digging. | mistertibbs
08/8/2007 14:33 | Mas. Yes, that is the danger. | mistertibbs
08/8/2007 14:26 | "mistertibbs - 8 Aug'07 - 14:16 - 141 of 141: Looking back at the number of share purchases by our directors over the past 18 months, do we think they'll want to take such a risk if they didn't think it worth it?" Many people are undone by unbridled ambition and an inflated ego. Seen it happen many times - not saying that it will here but you can never rule out the possibility ! | masurenguy
08/8/2007 14:16 | Looking at SMC trading statement on 30/07/07, looks to me like they were beginning the clearout. Was it with this merger in mind? I know nothing of the SMC situation so only taking this with investigation for me to come. SMC stated break even for this year looks likely so we would be starting from scratch as a bigger business. Now that looks ok to me. Probably/maybe puts the divi on hold for some time. Looking back at the number of share purchases by our directors over the past 18 months, do we think they'll want to take such a risk if they didn't think it worth it? | mistertibbs
08/8/2007 13:14 | SMC will be a much bigger amd more complex entity to digest than Aukett was. If a deal can be agreed, the lawyers will earn a fortune in trying to unravel, terminate, resolve or pay out existing earnout agreements and other SMC contingent liabilities. This is a very dangerous game for SMC in my opinion. If AUK were to ultimately walk away then SMC could become a basket case, with any last vestiges of credibility finally shot to pieces | masurenguy
08/8/2007 12:27 | The Fitzroy group seem to have pulled it all together. Aukett were a bit of a shambles before. Well intentioned but a shambles. If tey can apply same attitude to SMC then maybe they can pull it round. AUK have ongoing stuff related to the Olympics. Could be muscling up for that? transport is one area of specialisation. Doing up stations/facilities etc. The Nth London link line needs a good refurb for one. | valentine
08/8/2007 12:19 | On the other hand you might be getting into bed with the biggest sack of S+++ in history. CR | cockneyrebel
08/8/2007 12:18 | Maybe Auk management can get grips with this mess at Smc and sort it out, what they've done with Auk in a few years is remarkable and if they can do the same with Smc then it could be a real winner so long as they sack all of the Smc board if they merge. | 2centrat
08/8/2007 12:07 | quotes_4_u - 15 Jun'07 - 13:43 - 113 of 134 What a year for Auk. It's valuation is now way higher than Smc's, a few years back Auk was worth 4 million and Smc's was 80 million + I wonder if Auk is watching developments at Smc ?....because Smc if they dont sort their mess out soon may well have a firesale of parts of their business and i'm sure Auk will jump at the chance to buy ! | 2centrat
08/8/2007 12:06 | Looks like you've stolen my few SMC off me guys - well done. Reckon you're getting SMC for a snip. CR | cockneyrebel
26/7/2007 09:02 | Interest comment silverfern. Must say I haven't ever enjpyed a divi without it being announced in results. But I am of course, quite willing to accept one. | mistertibbs
24/7/2007 08:18 | I think what they said in the last results is that they will issue a dividend immediately as a gesture of their policy. Companies don 't have to wait for results to do it. | silverfern
23/7/2007 22:21 | It certainly looks now like a dividend, possibly being announced at next results. If they do as they did last year, they may even suggest something in a trading/pre-close statement in october. | mistertibbs
18/7/2007 20:17 | NOt sure what time the RNS came out today but the effect of the EGM will be - if resolutions get passed - that they can announce a dividend in Sept. From the June results : "Once this procedure is complete we expect to announce a dividend as a gesture of our confidence in future prospects." | silverfern
22/6/2007 10:13 | lots of Buys 1-hour delayed because of size, looks poised for another go at 18p on good volume | nur0mancer
20/6/2007 17:23 | Nice price action today - share price up by 7.94 % bygadsir | bygadsir
20/6/2007 14:55 | Needs to cleanly go through, and close above, 18.25p for a breakout ! | masurenguy
20/6/2007 14:36 | price action this afternoon looks encouraging. Yesterday's dip rejected, and obviously some decent bids around by the look of it. | indalo
20/6/2007 14:12 | the spread has narrowed too - I might buy more ; this in entirely different comapny to three years ago btw, a reverse take over and a new Board for example. | silverfern |
