25/2/2020 19:30 | horgan The company will tell you if you ask the, The FD is very responsive. In the meantime I see that Edison has produced a report on Gresham House Strategic whose 7% holding in AUG is 32% of their NAV. I saw the reference to Christopher Mills in 2734..I wonder how many boards he is on..he is on Sureserve where I have shares. | cerrito
21/2/2020 07:43 | Does anybody know the date of their final results? Last year was 26th Feb, the year before was 20th March. I don’t think they have confirmed the date but my data provider (Sharepad) is saying “confirmedR | horgan

18/2/2020 05:16 | Waste industry valuation multiples here, including Augean, Renewi & Biffa: | brummy_git
15/2/2020 15:06 | The £220 million specialist in hazardous waste Augean (LSE:AUG) has affirmed strengths in a pre-close update, citing 2019 normalised pre-tax profit “at least in line” with October’s upgrade in the consensus from £16.5 million for £18.4 million. That sounds plenty confident, though not higher than expectations; management being wise not to over-egg guidance after a recent upgrade. It catches my attention less for precise figures than a corporate trend of underlying momentum and upgrades. From 210p, the stock opened at around 220p but drifted back to 212p, as if demand-supply is currently in equilibrium, the price having risen 48% since I rated Augean a “buy” last October at 152p. While a near-term “hold” stance may be appropriate, it looks like things are now coming together such that the stock remains a “buy” on a multi-year view. | thefartingcommie
14/2/2020 16:39 | Gresham House have a large investment case that you can see on their website. | velocytongo

05/2/2020 12:06 | People are returning here. I think it’s due to retest recent highs and I see this is just the beginning, imho Gla | andyview
04/2/2020 17:43 | It would be good to have some more clarity on when the lower tier tax tribunal is going to look at this. 'Some time in 2020' is all the company has said, as far as I can see. I've spoken to the tax tribunal, who tell me that there are no hearing listings published in advance -- only on the day and the hearings are open to the public. | gargoyle2
04/2/2020 12:26 | Have a small position here but can't see myself adding more unless we have clarity on tax obligations. The impact to net profits could be huge, so makes valuation too tricky | leopoldalcox
03/2/2020 09:05 | I've added a few more this morning, solid investment case here. gla | andyview
16/1/2020 16:43 | I think that is right. It’s a pretty binary outcome | velocytongo
16/1/2020 15:51 | Long-term, I think the question is that if it is decided that aug should have been paying more tax in the past, then presumably they will have to pay this extra tax on future business as well, which may have have an impact on future profits. I have no idea what this impact is though. | martinc
14/1/2020 20:43 | My understanding is the HMRC payment comes from nett cash + borrowings and will not hit eps but I stand corrected! | longterm67
13/1/2020 16:49 | Those are the numbers on the edison website that were upgraded during Q4 last year. It may be worth giving edison a shout to clarify. | velocytongo
13/1/2020 16:34 | Are those eps numbers based on the current HMRC tax rate/charge for landfill sites?.If not those numbers will be hit. | patient fox
13/1/2020 15:22 | Stockopedia says 14.9 and 17.8. I would be happy with either that or 18.2 ! | bluebelle
13/1/2020 12:50 | 2019-14.9p 2020-18.2p This is from Edison. If strong trading continues, we should get an upgrade. HMRC tribunal expected this year. | velocytongo
13/1/2020 11:40 | What is forecast EPS please? | johndoe23
13/1/2020 11:19 | They met forecast, which was widely expected. Fine by me - I don't like surprises ! This has been a core long term hold for me for a while - the one downside is the lack of a dividend at the moment, but we all know about that. I have the maximum % for any one share in my portfolio but, if I didn't I would be happy buying up to at least £3 based on forecast EPS alone! | bluebelle
13/1/2020 11:17 | Great that they specified their understanding of market expectations. We all need to press all companies to follow their example to so specify what the company understands to be market expectations. | cerrito |
