At least 3 parties interested? £10 being mentioned?

Bbluesky, what is the message in your post. That BBC are the best radio broadcaster in the world.

Big picture stuff. Boris/Dominatrix have no idea of the value of the BBC. Pathetic people, but there we are.... but not the end. I went to an Foreign Office Open Day and asked about the World Service. They said that in a survey, what came up top was the news from Britain. So, they have expanded the number of languages that the World Service delivers to. Excellent.

BOOM's talent (ex-beeb) will out (we hope!). When it comes to radio there are very few big players outside the BBC ie can you name them?

Reaons to be cheerful pt 4!

What Audiboom have is a solid and broad business in podcasting. From original content and streaming to an advertising platform. Revenue $35m and profitable in 2nd or 3rd Qtr20. Ideal for Twitter or Newscorp who are nowhere in audio streaming. Spotify may have spent their money now and may already have a good infrastructure. But if Spotify took AB they would simply have cornered the entire market with only start-ups available.

I can see that figure being achieved easily....

If AB have something that two or more big players want enough and a bidding war pursues then rational valuations go out of the window.
However, being realistic, at this point in time, £10/share would be marvellous and not unreasonable looking at others. Much beyond that and it would be overvalued, however many many companies are acquired for reasons beyond valuation in isolation

£10 is is still low compared to the Ringer. Could go higher as there seems to be multiple interested parties.

I agree 5.5 will be great but as far as I'm aware that bid has already been far beaten.

Most investors would be positive about this sale price but may feel it's under sold given other valuations. £10 is really the price but whether it's achievable is another matter. $180m value. Raine will make a small fortune based on a steep upward sliding scale of fees starting from 0% at £4. Raine doesn't muck around.

£7.50 is a market cap of $135m which is acceptable.

It's convenient they don't have to announce the bids don't you think? I wonder if that was Candy topping up again yesterday! Gives us all a chance to scoop up more I guess...
