Shareholders will be told if any firm offers are received - none as yet. He clearly expects some activity but no timescale indicated

I missed the investors up date by Last. Obviously Stuart has said something about future revenue being in excess of FinnCap forecast or an update on his take of M&A activity. Anyone care to divulge!

I think some people took a ST punt incase they mentioned a strategic investor or an agreed buy-out. I guess that is still being debated in the background, but these figures show Boom remains a very attractive asset to any potential purchaser and as a result, should retain its premium valuation. I would also add that 100% year on year growth is still bloody fantastic and I don't think we are close to saturation point in the podcast market.

Remember, Boom can increase revenue as follows:-

Higher downloads per podcast
Commoditising the back catalogue
Increase advertising rates per podcast (which is also a function of downloads per podcast)
Targeting new countries
Releasing more podcasts
Releasing more inhouse podcasts that carry higher margins etc

Just look at Disney and how they are closed up on Netflix in a few years. You can broaden a market even when its main incumbent is showing low digit growth.

Share price normally goes up before the news and fall on the day of the news. The share price reflexes the valuation of the company against the market cap...

Why the drop in the share price today after the good figures on the update?

Market Makers games are part of the reason for the drop today.
Mark the shares down, some investors panic and sell, then fill your books and reverse the tactics, mainly is what is going on now.

So my take on today's figures.

I had pencilled in approx $14.1m for Q1 22 based on growth rates for Q1 21, so $19.7m is substantially better than expected. However, Q4 21 to Q1 22 growth did show a slight drop off compared to previous years. However, the key metrics IMO will be Q2 and Q3 22 as these really rocketed last year showing 146% / 160% yr-on-yr growth.

If we get close to $32m for Q2 then my year figures of $140m will remain intact.
