That's not the only reason. The copper price dropped 6% today - Antofagasta also down 6.4%. |
Blimey. The dude decided to retire and the stock is down 9% ? |
Just bought another chunk.....DYOR....see this fall as overdone....DYOR |
Copper is in free fall which doesn't help.FCX is also down 7% |
Our Non Exec sold 63k shares but Alberto acquired net 450k shares following taking his 600k options ( expiring 28/5) & sold 150k to cover personal tax, increasing his holding substantially to 880k shares, thereby suggesting great confidence of our future. |
indeed. Maybe they are working the trade through...let's see....didn't seem like a whole load.....
I listened to the presentation, my sense was that management are pretty bullish, especially about the copper price and being unhedged to provide very material EBITDA upside....patience required.....DYOR |
I guess the timing was driven by Insider rules. Just after results are published there's usually a window. |
If I was a director, left, I would not want to keep stock in a company I had no influence over, happens all the time. I know I've done it! DYOR |
A nicely timed sale then! |
Thanks, useful knowledge - let market absorb it, move on etc.
DYOR |
So Trafigura's NED sells all his stock... |
On Elix he said Eva Lain and he were targeting continuous production from The new plant from next month - currently still producing in batches |
Listened to the playback of this mornings Q1 results. Alberto was saying that he thought incentive price for copper would be around 12,000 USD per tonne - interesting. On Touro he said he expected to get 'project of strategic importance' status by end of May/ start of June. On Solar farm he expects maybe half the electricity to come online by end of next month.. |
Interesting podcast. Particularly the bit about the massive investment required that's going to be needed just to maintain current levels of output in Chile. Also Atalaya have been approached with a view to investors hoping to take over Trafigura's stake . They've said no as they expect their investment to outperform any buyout offer |
Interesting rise in copper concentrate inventory held on site? Q1 23 it was ~1500 tons. This time it's ~8300 tons.Does this just reflect delivery timetables, or might we get the rather higher price for copper now as it's delivered? Perhaps it's intended as feedstock for Elix? |
Disappointing results- more delays in re domiciliation, more delays in Solar farm, Elix still not done, nothing more on Touro, poor financial results. Really hoped for better. Thank goodness for a stellar copper price!! |
One does ones best considering my 3 attempts to pass English GCSE! ? |
Interesting comment re Touro.....Ultimately Q2 should show the upside benefits of better grades intimated, better costs and much much higher copper price...will the market look forward or back? DYOR |
Somewhat disappointing to say the least.... Profit down from 11104 in same Q last year to 1627 this Q?Cash flow from operating activities down from 12362 to a loss of 1737?Blamed on lower copper concentrate sales and ( lower realised copper prices?) |
rolo7, don't the nationality and liquidity rules apply for eligibility to the FTSE All-Share index? The Small Cap index is part of the FTSE All-Share index and segregated from the FTSE 250 based on market capitalision, not nationality or liquidity?
In today's RNS:-
"Assuming all necessary approvals are obtained, the Company expects that it could complete the re-domiciliation procedures in Q4 2024"
I think that means could be FTSE 250 entry in December, unless FTSE accept the Cypriot domiciliation. |
rolo7 please kindly rewrite in PLAIN LANGUAGE. |
Into the small cap index if it does not make fste 250 due to Cyprus office might enter fste 250 between June and September review due to takeover delistings |
