Better not to trade, just to accumulate if you want to, I'll probably add tomorrow, the reversal will be huge, they push it down as much as possible before they close their shorts. Having said that, any important news, such as another investor would push this up 50%+ in a flash, anything could happen.

It's silly cheap now, whatever you think of its long term prospects.

Plenty lower to go before all the stock out on loan is gathered up. Trending down off a high of 5%.

To be frank I really don't have much of a clue how the system behind retail punts works on the price.
Having said that though I don't think retail shorting has as much of an effect on the down-tick as PI purchases on-line do: All that does is take stock out of CREST and make them available for loans to cover short CFD positions taken by the online-brokers other arm in the non-retail market, using the money given to them by PI's buying online. They've got to make a living somehow!
PI's usually make terrible short-term trades so it makes sense to do that. Or maybe PI's make great decisions in adverse conditions created by these CFD facilities behind the scenes in the capital market?!
Just don't hold long-term online, methinks, or at-all if possible.
amiright?

This is getting ridiculous. Company just announced a £500m cash injection, subject to shareholder approval, along with reset plan. We have billionaire investor Lawrence stroll and his consortium pumping in £182m at 400p, and participating in rights issue. Existing investors also participating in rights issue. None of tier 1 suppliers in China.Maybe investors spooked by rights issue at 207p. To be clear, this is your rights only if you are in it on registration date. Sell now and unless you buy back before date, you can't participate.Bought in post Stroll news and been adding. Intend to take up all my rights. I believe in the turnaround story with Stroll on-board.

Spread bet firms do end up buying and selling the shares in many cases to balance their books. So it will probably have some effect

Its all just a bet....even the most vanilla funds have been hammered this last two weeks, investing is all just a bet regardless of what anyone says. If you own shares in these I would get rid while you can still unload them.

Its not a vendetta, its just business, and if theres more to be made on this as it goes through the hoop then why not. It will burn through what cash it has in a new york minute and its then game over, these type of cars are history now anyway, expensive to build, old technology, limited market, capital intensive, you just dont invest in stuff like this, you short it. In fact you could pretty much short the entire uk and stick to investing in the us when market bottoms.

Certainly no vendetta here.
It's just a position.

I think you've done well shorting it since it floated, not sure why you want more off it, surely you've made your money ... so why the vendetta still?

Actually topaz I have been a sell on this since it floated ( the robbers who floated it should be locked up and the buyers put in an asylum haha) if you check my thread. Consistent. I have made money shorting it but I was out long ago, I think these shares will end up suspended at some point so tempted to re short if i can get the borrow, UK in general is fkd thanks to brexit and aston is fkd in particular.
