15/4/2021 10:28 | And off we go again | qs99
15/4/2021 09:05 | Morning konradpuss Don't disagree with that strategy, but I'm in again earlier this week to top up much earlier holding as think this has some way to go before the next news and hopefully any deal will also add to the momentum...let's see Good days one and all and a nice blue opening to go with the blue skies outside. Nice | qs99
14/4/2021 15:10 | Mr5K, wise words. This is a speculation, however I am in for zero as I did my usual when something doubles - sell half. QS99 I think I will on balance wait, as you say, until the first 'action' which should not be long away. At that point there might be more of a market. | konradpuss
14/4/2021 14:51 | Indeed, but given what it is planning on doing, is it not better to wait until the first "action" to see what happens? DYOR | qs99
14/4/2021 14:29 | It's always tempting to hang on and I suspect you'll do well .. it's just that I'm always testing my investments against Benjamin Graham's definition of speculation .. he says that speculation is in our nature (I completely agree) and to ringfence this amount .. I have another large position that is quite speculative that has filled up my speculative bucket! .. good luck | mr5k
14/4/2021 14:12 | VelocyTongo, I might try and do the same. It is tempting however to see how it plays out. | konradpuss
14/4/2021 13:27 | It was difficult to sell .. I got out at between 7.50 and 8.00 .. I sold 1,000 shares at a time .. VT | velocytongo
14/4/2021 12:24 | VelocityTongo, at this share price I would like to be out however I don't think I could sell very much without moving the price. May I Kindly ask, did you sell recently? | konradpuss
14/4/2021 12:03 | Konrad .. the reality is that he has destroyed plenty of value .. Anyways, I’m out now .. what happens next is speculation (vs investment) and not my thing .. saying that Mills is the adult in the room and he’ll stop Gilbert doing something really daft .. V | velocytongo
14/4/2021 11:52 | What is happening on the 16 april | atlantic57
14/4/2021 11:34 | Getting ready for 16th April.......... | hugothesecond
14/4/2021 08:18 | Moving along very nicely | qs99
02/4/2021 07:27 | Velocy, the market thinks he has, the reality might be different. It's currently like saying Elon Musk has a poor track record - in financial terms he has, the market is valuing his ability in a different way. | konradpuss
01/4/2021 23:53 | Konrad .. you must be kidding .. Gilbert has destroyed so much value through his deal making | velocytongo
01/4/2021 20:19 | There is a large speculative element in the current Assetco share price. If there were any sort of market, I wonder if a sale now is the 'percentage golf'? I am minded to hang on as Martin Gilbert has a very good track record. | konradpuss
01/4/2021 11:41 | Fireplace the bod have no bargaining chips at all. He simply has to say i want my loan repaid in july. | atlantic57
01/4/2021 10:49 | RE MIN, Gilberts biggest task is the various significant shareholders, he seems to have Day on his side and he may come with the deal. How does he entice the others to part with their shares without overpaying given their ages and the lure of future growth in ASTO is unlikely to tempt them? | fireplace22
01/4/2021 10:07 | Yes Fireplace there is logic there. Gilbert has a foot in both camps. They can offer whatever they like and they have the contacts and cash to take the project forwards. The bod of min are all well into their seventies and have a consistent record of failure. If Gilbert asks for his money back in july minoan would face huge problems to keep the show on the road,,, | atlantic57
01/4/2021 09:55 | Why not, current mc £6M supposed asset value £40M plus and already with a foothold through Gilbert. | fireplace22
01/4/2021 09:49 | ASTO are not going to buy MIN for God's sake. | arthur_lame_stocks
01/4/2021 09:39 | Let us say asset co value min at 2p a share you get 1 share in asto for every 400 Shares you own in min assuming a mid price of 800 p for asto. Let us say min shares are valued at 6p. Then you you get 3 asto shares for every 400 min shares owned. | atlantic57
01/4/2021 09:30 | Atlantic, MC is £56m as far as I can ascertain?, see yesterdays RNS, am I missing something? | fireplace22
01/4/2021 08:22 | A share for share swap here would be dire. The spread is 780 to 950 I guess it is the most likely outcome | atlantic57
31/3/2021 22:17 | Remember MG has also recently invested in MIN - could be a target for ASTO. With only a small float ASTO could rocket after 16 April when the deals start rolling. MG will not want to hang around! | hugothesecond
26/3/2021 08:12 | so R&M a likely first bid target? AT what price/ | qs99 |
