The business model seems to be failing.
during lockdown ordering online seemed to be the future.

but it is expensive to package and deliver a range clothing.
I noted they referred to growing sales but lower 'net sales.'
Customers are ordering several items then returning them.
This is a expensive operation.

Todays estimated pre tax profit of £20m - £60m is worrying.
It is likely to be optimistic.

Hoping this is the bottom. The new CEO actually looks and sounds like someone who understands fashion. If it stays this low for too long, the co will be vulnerable to a bid from Next etc. It looks extremely cheap at these levels but then again I thought £15 was cheap.

2 days ago jw330 wrote that ASC is "Certainly good value here"... one of the worst calls on advfn this year.... I don't own ASC, but I pity anyone who acted on his poorly conceived enthusiasm. ATB

amaretto you sound flustered or out of cash, this market is for the big boys, buy when there’s blood on the floors, ignore short term views. If you can’t take the heat best keep out of the kitchen. Seek help too, you certainly are getting confused and bitter

Interest rate rise means higher mortgages on top of the increases to the cost of living we have already seen. The last thing people will look to do is increase their spending on clothes. Unless it's vinted

The markets/analysts wanted 1% hike from the fed, and a little bit of recession will actually stop wage inflation.

As for a buy in here, for a trade, this level is significantly lower than most expected, plus after the shock of the interest rate news we could see a general market bounce.

So buy later today or tomorrow.

None of this retail can do any good until inflation drops out of the picture. Just dont look at your portfolio for 12 months. UK is fxcked anyway, brexit fiasco, boris, covid, parabolic taxes, OMFG.
