As they say you can never get poor on a profit. Problem is people in general are just too greedy and think the share price will go on rising!

The value of Nick Robertson's 10% stake in Asos has plunged by £375 million since the high of £70 in February, with today's fall wiping off another £3.5 million.

As they say, easy come, easy go.

Maybe you are right, though I suppose the lack of any news from Amazon will weigh down on the share price the longer it goes on.

mylands, my take is that I don't think anyone knows for sure what's going on. The results might be rather downbeat on 21st October what with the warehouse fire, operations not as successful abroad, longer summer, etc. etc. but dyor.

Seeing the plunge today, has either a rumour gone round that Amazon aren't interested or have they actually said so?

Asos rallies on Amazon bid hopes
By Bryce Elder

A retread of Amazon bid speculation helped Asos, the fashion retailer, bounce off a two-year low on Monday.

Asos rallied 15.8 per cent to £22.27 after UBS forecast that Amazon might bid up to $4.3bn or £50 per share. With the US group so far failing to make headway into clothing, buying Asos would provide a solution, it argued.
