Based on today's inflation numbers, don't expect any upturn in consumer spending anytime soon.

QANTAS you only have yourself to blame for your financial losses on ASOS.

There have been plenty of warnings posted on ADVFN about ASOS, its falling sales, its cashflow problems, and its huge piles of unsold and unwanted stock.

You've been taught another invaluable financial lesson, and that is NEVER TRY TO CATCH A FALLING KNIFE !!!.

A few more losers will have been ensnared this morning .
Chancers who haven’t done any research .
ASC is trapped within the coils of a huge snake within the sludge pit .
It can’t escape , occasionally it can gasp for air but each time the coils tighten that little bit more .
Death ☠️ isn’t far away here folks

If sales were declining at 18% in H1 but between 5 to 15% for year as whole ( as per guidance) then H2 must have lower rate of decline and depending upon where ASOS hits in the 5 to 15% YOY H2 may even have revenue growth.

Still points to direction of travel

Excellent AEBITDA for FY25 expected to be significantly higher than FY23 and FY24 driven by: (1) materially higher gross margin following removal of old stock and higher full-price sales mix of flexible stock models; and (2) ongoing transformation of the business following cost action already taken in FY23 and H1 FY24."

If of the view that investing is about the future of the company, not the past, then this from the RNS indicates the direction of travel

"AEBITDA for FY25 expected to be significantly higher than FY23 and FY24 driven by: (1) materially higher gross margin following removal of old stock and higher full-price sales mix of flexible stock models; and (2) ongoing transformation of the business following cost action already taken in FY23 and H1 FY24."

"Inflation is expected to continue falling. These things don't happen by accident. It's because we have a plan, and that plan is working."PM @RishiSunak reacts to the ONS figures that show inflation has eased to 3.2% down from 3.4%
