On the subject of inadequate working capital, it is worth noting that ASOS (ASC) currently has a £500 Million convertible bond in issue, which is due to be redeemed in April 2026.

It is highly unlikely that ASOS will be able to repay and redeem it, and the conversion option is deeply out of the money.

With a current market capitalisation of only about £400 Million, ASOS has very limited options to deal with the debt.

Worse still, the bond currently only trades at about 59p on every £1



Realistically it is only a matter of time before the bondholders will own ASOS and ASOS's ordinary shareholders will get wiped out.

ASOS finally admitted sales declined by around 18%, which is worse than previously forecast.

Sales are expected to continue FALLING throughout the first half of Full Year 2024 as the cost of living crisis continues and consumers remain unwilling to buy new clothes

Worse still, ASOS has also predicted that for the Full Year 2024, it expects annual sales to DECLINE by another 5% to 15%.
