Most of the City's retail analysts and indeed ASOS's own shareholders really don't understand the financial impact that rival clothing retailers SHEIN and TEMU are having on ASOS's sales.



Analysis of website traffic data for the last 3 years shows that the SHEIN app and the TEMU app were the most downloaded apps in the USA, across Europe and in the Rest of the World.

AJ , that doesn’t really help those who have held this all the way down from over £50 though .
Like yourself , it’s long way back to break even for those fellas .

TBF boo and ASOS expect this years guildance to be down but are cutting overheads and costs to increase cash flow.Makes sense

Anybody expecting to see a substantial boost in consumer spending in 2024 is going to be very disappointed.

Whilst the recent increase in the National Minimum Wage will be welcomed by some in the 16 - 30 age range, most household budgets will soon become even more stretched.

Council Tax Bills are set to increase by 4.99% and by more in the West Midlands.

Mobile Phone and broadband costs are going up by 8.8%

Water bills are going up by 6% in England and by more in Scotland

The TV Licence Fee is increasing by 6.7%

NHS Dental charges will increase by 4%

Renewing a 10 year UK Passport will also cost 7.3% more




None of which bodes well for loss making clothes retailers like Asos PLC and Boohoo PLC.
