I'm excited by the performance of our new collections, while we have also made great progress in monetising inventory that built up over the pandemic and in improving the core profitability of our operations. We have reconfirmed our guidance for FY24 as we lay the foundations for a more profitable, cash generative business from FY25 and beyond."

Market in a sad state again but the dow 250 up. I remember once upon a time, (and not in the west.) when we use to follow the dow, but those days seem to be a distant memory.

Believe me thicko if profit had have been a lot they would have shouted it from the rooftops and had a conference call.

Are you boys so blind you can’t see the obvious here.

They may turn it around, but the idea that they have or are on the way to is for the fairies.

The grim reality is that ASOS PLC has done very little to buck the online fashion trend of falling sales and big losses with yesterday's trading update.

Sales for the six months to 3 March were down 18% though this was hardly unexpected, given the resurgence in high-street shopping and ongoing cost of living pressures.

ASOS is desperately trying to clear piles and piles of old unwanted stock and reduce it's inventory before it tries to move to a new operating model in 2025.

Clearing the excess stock has only marginally improved ASOS's net cash position, but there is still plenty of unsold stock to be moved on. Return goods are still a big problem for ASOS

Worryingly, ASOS has kept its full-year guidance unchanged, predicting further sales declines of between 5% and 15% for this financial year.

Even now ASOS shares are still DOWN by 13% in 2024 and they are unlikely to be bolstered by this update.

Is very little

They didn’t tell us how much. They masked it with stock reduction to come up with a combined free cash flow number.

Only an amateur wouldn’t spot that move. Then no T/u at Xmas and no conference call. Wonder why that is hahahahaha

Business on a death spiral, can’t cut costs quicker than revenue decline.
