Any demand for stock here will see us move very quickly higher. The amount of stock in sticky hands is very high, the daily churn is on small trades. the news flow will obviously underpin this demand and of course increased broker and analyst coverage.

Interesting link that Mattjwhity...
"... for every 1% annual increase in consumer prices since 1992, copper's price jumped almost 18%"

As long as that blue line keeps on struggling up at the same speed anything near the multiple of the last two years it will find me more than happy.

Yup, that's how they work.
It's like in an auction; there;s a strict way of going up the scale...
£8, £9, £10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25 30...or something like that.
Strange , but it works.

What century is this stock market in?

ADVFN (in the graphs in the header) is correctly reporting the prices in decimal notation (12.38 12.4 12.42 12.44 etc.)

However, the market-makers report the mid-price in halves, quarters and eighths of a penny. Currently it seems to be twelve and three eighths pence, hence the line is between 12.36p and 12.38p .

50p starter? Sounds like a bargain, no wonder you had two bottles to celebrate :-)

Hi little ADAM. Yes the five or six times price multiple seems reasonable as a starter. Regarding Tony, Peter etc not having drawn a wage for a couple of years, do you know how this will work out eventually. Have they been given shares in
Lieu or are their salaries sitting in the balance sheet to be paid at a later date. Either way, they are to ge admired for their confidence in the future of the company.

AD - One way of looking at it could be:

Since Copper bottomed in H1/2016 at $1.94/lb it has risen 63.4% to $3.17/lb.

Of that $1.23/lb increase, $0.21/lb (17.7%) could be ascribed to the dollar weakening, the rest driven by market fundamentals.

Since most of the £0.57/lb Copper price increase over the last year has likely been driven by the dollar weakening; mining asset valuations expressed in the other major currencies will have risen much less during this period, despite copper moving into deficit and LME Warehouse inventory now down circa 50% since 2013 and 70% below its all time high.

So if your a mining or oil company sitting on a Yuan or Euro cash pile, knowing Trump has been weakening the Dollar for political purposes, now might be a good time to consider buying industrial metal or oil assets, not least because the EU recently called the Trump Administration out for currency manipulation and threatened to take action if the US failed to desist.

HB were you driving or walking to the golf club?
Anyone think that buy was someone using up the current year's £20k ISA allowance? Either way a decent purchase.

I agree, too much chat about a takeover. Anyway TM would laugh them out of the building unless it was 5 or 6 times the current price. Poor lad hasn't taken a salary in yonks.

Back from 9 holes.
I'm getting old. Got home to find I'd left my golf trolley in carpark. Had to go all the back to retrieve it. That's the second time! Alzheimer's?
Tennis at 5pm.
Yes, Tuesday is sports day.

In my opinion talk of a takeover is extremely premature.

I guess that means that anyone considering a bid will ignore temporary dollar weakness and will wait for more fundamental (and long-lasting) reasons for increase in metals prices.

once it breaks and holds through 3.30 it should be able to hit the 3.50/3.75/lb area pretty quickly

Copper has been stuck in a 3.05-3.25 range for quite a while now , at some point I would expect a break northwards to have settled above 3.50 by the end of 2018

2LB was simply answering your SHOUTED statements with a coherent response.
Didn't come across to me as a competetive response.

Hey buddy, relax, my point was let’s focus on today and not tomorrow.
Tomorrow will bring its own challenges.

BTW it’s not a competition how many times we have spoken to TM.

I am however rock solid on my understanding of the boys wanting to journey this project through to something far bigger than 18/19 size.
