It's not ridiculous based on face to face chats with the BoD over the past 12 months , of which I have had many

This take over talk is taking on a life of its own. Totally ridiculous this early on.

Number one. This BOD and management are not so opportunistic to take any low ball bid and would encourage all shareholders to hold.
Do you really think MANNINI would bail for 50p. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS.
Get real, he is a miner and wants to bring this project through.
I THINK I need a break on this Board and just work through the 12 to 15 p stage and be happy with the guys working for us stakeholders.

One thought on the (possible) bid front, is that a low ball bid for say 30/35p once successfully rejected could bolster the share price to around the bid level....

Anyway it's nice to see the share price hold its own after last weeks rise. I had been expecting it to drop back to low 11's.

Let's hope for another Manini podcast soon.

Thanks Treadcareful.I just read my original post again and it does seem "anxious". That was only based on the other two experiences referenced and not to do with this management team.I'm optimistic rather than anxious - and have added 3 times since my initial investment in January. (I sold down elsewhere for the funds).ARS appears to be going the right way. With so many long-term investors holding firm, that does indicate confidence in the outlook for the company.Anyway, I'm off here now until next week at the earliest.GLA.

either way, if it comes or doesn't, us minions will be able to do very little to influence the outcome so best put it to one side and not worry about it.

We'll be 20p in the next couple of months i reckon. Maybe even earlier.

Impvesta - You are probably right. But my broader point still stands - better late to the party than never. It would be great if ARS progressed through the year without any takeover interest. There appears to be enough happening internally to drive the share price.

I’m late to the party here and do fear a low ball bid circa 20p.

I’ve seen this before with IAE and Kenz when private investors were left in profit but substantially below their expectations. Based on those cases, management looked after themselves - took the money and ran.
Can’t blame them I suppose."

I'm certain that management would NOT want to take the money and run, in the event of an opportunistic low bid. My worry is that management and other substantial shareholders together may not have a big enough shareholding to be able to fight off an unreasonably low bid.

Based on those cases, management looked after themselves - took the money and ran. Can't blame them I suppose. But we all look at this from our own personal perspectives. Why would management here be any different? Glencore / Rio offer 20p and some tasty management share options and, sadly, it may be game over.Given the schedule of developments at ARS, I hope we get into the latter part of the year without a sniff from the likes of Glencore.I guess the only way to maximise the opportunity is to load up and hope it gets to 20p sooner rather than later. To be fair, it appears to be on its way. Whichever way I look - the assay results, potential / implied intrinsic value, global market context - it's far better in than out. Glass half full.Well done to those who have been here for a few years. (BTW - I and other new investors are only late to the party as of today. Hopefully, we'll still be holding when people are buying at 60p.)

It would be reassuring to think that, if anyone came in with a bid, 50p, 70p or 80p would be required to be successful. In reality, though, I'm not sure that sufficient shares are in "sticky" hands in order to ward off any speculative cheap offer for the company. The substantial shareholders list doesn't account for a very high percentage of the shares in issue:

I'm certainly hoping there won't be a bid until we are much further down the line and with a significantly higher share price than we have now.

Personally I'd be very happy if we had a 50p Chinese takeaway after the BFS in just a few months' time... bird in the hand... but I'm also happy to hold for a couple of years if that doesn't materialise... each to their own... different strokes for different folks etc...NAI

2LB Totally understand your rationale, although your holding with a couple of pence dividend would give a couple of hundred thousand pounds pa.
Wouthout getting too far ahead of ourselves, I have an exit strategy of holding but downloading a number each year to spend and reinvest.
I have been in involved in these takeovers before and just hate to see our companies taken out too cheaply, whilst we are bullied to sell.
Even so, if someone came along at 70 or 80 p it will be a pleasant period of discussion.
Karma comes into life sometimes also, things happen for a reason sometimes outside our control. Roll on and enjoy life, it’s too short.

Haydock; no not in HZM but yes, TERN ( for my sins and testing my patience!).
Jetted off for a week of winter sun so will look in on the BB from time to time. When I get back next week, I expect you all to have talked the share price up to 20p😂

It's back to my point on NPV of cash.....50p would mean I could walk away with a few million quid and a smile on my face and be very accepting of some big corporate getting full value over the next 10 years

I would love to know why when if the share price reaches 50p , which means the project is derisked so much and would then be rolling so nicely, so many holders think this would be a good time to sell to a predator.
I would have thought this would be the fastest way to allow a predator to pillage all the great work that had been done and reap the rewards in the easiest way possible.
What a waste that would be, to throw away our great company for chips and let some lazy bloated fat cat multi laugh all the way to the bank.
I would be led partially by what our BOD suggests.
Each to their own but this can be a once in a decade investment here.

Some good discussion on actual fair value and therefore "acceptable" approach/ takeover price.I would consider anything in excess of 40p to be worth a conversation at this point in time but that threshold is ever-increasing as we approach BKM BFS and with Beutong drilling results about to start flowing.I think I can now sit on my hands for a few years yet if that's an option to get to dividend payments but NPV of cash is a string driver for all pi's so I would also look hard at a 50-70p offer and most likely vote to take it in 2018 and move on to pastures new with a return not likely to be repeated. There is finally a real buzz about this company and the strength of the dip buying today was very significant, we are now on many more radars after years in the shadows and to those on this board that have had the courage of their convictions to buy big over the past three years then it really could / should be a huge risk reward play. With no approach I am looking for 30p by end of 2018 - more than achievable
