All you have to do is read the capitulation from DB - neutral but increase stock price from £7 to £16 to know that they have not got a clue!

They get paid to write a report as to why it should be £7 - they should be made to write a report on what they got wrong and how the opposite of their assumptions justifies the move through £17.

Then I would put them in detention make them hand write 10,000 lines "I must not make up useless research"
tell them there's no bonus this year and in the end sack them for bringing the reputation of the bank into disrepute or something.

Agreed regards to this thread , this and the last one before it has been the best most welcoming , informative, amusing and relevant thread on ADVFN in my experience over 15 years or so and yes I have read in excess of 118,000 posts on the AHT threads.

Nothing wrong with your posts, or indeed those of any of the other AHT regulars... it's what makes this thread great, informative, educational, and amusing.

I would suggest that if newcomers do not find this to their liking they try one of the other AHT threads. Last time I looked these threads were dormant, so they will find little to disagree with! :-)

Indeed!!! All of 1.73 points. It was a poor trade taken in haste without applying the rules. I have a 'thing' with this share which over rides the system I normally apply to trades. It will be the last time I trade AHT without applying the 'rules'.

Thanks Bracke, appreciate your feedback..........starting to dabble with short term trades via spreadbet account, thus trying to understand a bit more TA.Also IMO it seems to make sense (leveraged and tax free) to use the account for some longer term holds as well, particularly if the company in question has no dividend and I would have happily bought some shares anyway.DD

uppompeii has numerous reservations but he does receive counselling and medication to control them.

My Elite Guru status remains intact but only just (see post 53068). Friday's drop has saved my blushes not to mention my discomfort. Provided I can get to the end of the year without major mishap the suspension will have run its course.

I am very tempted to go long especially as there is the new gap to fill.

And after all the volatility the DOW and S&P still finish the day up!!

On my sbet chart it shows the low on the 4th as 1203.6 and the low on the 9th as 1202.1. I appreciate that sbet charts are not the best. In this case it makes little difference.

I share your reservations about the current market.... perhaps someone has noticed that Emperor Trump's new clothes are not all they seem?
