'Elite' Guru if you please.

Long...it had crossed my mind but is the market fall over or is there more to come? I will keep eye on the share price and may go long in the hope/expectation/probability of a profit on the basis of a rise following scintillating results.

Thanks Bracke23.6% fib 1621, MA50 1618 (today's low 1616).Can I ask why the 9th Nov why not the swing low on the 4th Nov? (as a complete novice and non elite guru I would have gone for the 4th - incorrectly obviously!).DD

Good (being the operative word) day all

I have been out most of the day and had set my short trades on a limit order to breakeven which they nearly did. I made 1.73 points!!! Had I been at home I would have closed lower and been well in the money but no complaints.

Yes I know you are all astounded at my superior trading skills....so am I. There will be much feasting, drinking and merriment in the bracke household over the weekend. That 1.73 points will buy me a bottle of Lidl's third best red. I know there will be a headache the 'morrow but hang the expense you only live once.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN CHARTS ONLY SO NO COMPLAINING FROM THE FUNDAMENTALISTS.

On a Daily chart apply Fibonacci Retracement with zero at the 15 February high and 100 at 09 November low. Look at the s/r and where the share price has bounced from. Need I say more.....no.

I hope so too!

It will be interesting to see what the U.S. markets do later, the worst may not yet be over. A shakeout has long been overdue imho

I don't have balls of steel, I set a stop loss but I did reset it at the close.
I take full responsibility for the retrace. I should know better.

You can't take it back now, the fates have obliged.

I was a little surprised that although the Dow took a dive AHT was very eager to follow. However I smell a rat. Results on the 7th which odds on will be good and then......oh look up 40/50 points, there's a surprise!!

Hello to all,
I've been behind the scenes (a lurker I suppose) for years.
In fact, since 2002. I joined because I wanted to find out where to invest a small amount of spare cash (£1000). It was a choice between 3 companies and Ashtead became my choice in April 2003. I've been creaming off every now and then, but I've remained with them ever since. A bumpy but very exciting upward ride.

All views are welcome as long as they disagree with me........which is the norm.


Probably time for me to give you all another of my 'gems'.

The share price is certainly consolidating at 1700 probably in preparation for the 'zoom' up come 07 March. We must not forget Mr Trump's promise on 09 February of “phenomenal plan to overhaul business taxes may be released within the next “two or three weeks”.

So you ask what about your shorts bracke, good question. Looks like it's going to be a loss, just a question of the size.

If there are any replies to the above I will expect due deference and the usual obsequious grovelling.
